I loved the whole look and feel of Thaia in Malibu. The unassuming Thai restaurant takes on a ‘less is more’ approach and succeeds. Frosted draft IPAs from the bar and grilled peppers started our evening. We ordered Drunken Noodles with tofu and Yellow Curry with chicken. Both dishes delicious and the proportions were spot on. I really appreciated the velvety texture of the curry. For dessert we ordered the fried bananas with fresh strawberries and gelato. The whole experience was wonderful and I look forward to returning and trying new dishes. GH

Can’t believe how lucky I’ve been these last few days to visit such pleasant wonderful establishments with polite staff and delicious cuisine. I consider myself very lucky to be able to come to this place I was craving pad Thai I try to keep my meals so spaced out because lol I love eating.
Today I stop by here and ordered the tires to which was sweet and wonderful and very refreshing. I was immediately greeted I found everyone to be exceptionally polite this place has an incredibly beautiful bar and the outdoor seating is fantastic.
However I chose to dine inside where did the chicken pad thai and it was given the spices to customize the flavor of which I did not hesitate to make it spicy as possible the chicken was perfectly cooked and almost melted with noodles in my mouth each bite seem to only increase my hunger lol I absolutely found the breeze tranquilizing while I ate
I have to come back and explore more this was not just a wonderful meal but an incredible experience I am super grateful!

Amazing new spot in Malibu! Beautifully crafted cocktails and extremely friendly waitstaff.
The food was also excellent and made to our liking. We were informed how spicy each dish was while ordering and gave our preference on spice level.
We went here for a spontaneous date night and we weren’t disappointed. Definitely going to be a regular spot for us!
I recommend:
the bbq ribs
Papaya salad
yellow curry (made medium)
drunken noodles (also made medium)
For drinks:
EVERYTHING!! but the Burmese Garden was my favorite.
If you go, ask for Johnny! Very fun and kind waiter.

The food is fantastic! Our favorites are the cashew chicken (AMAZING!), Pad Thaia noodles, Pad See Bu, Drunken Noodles, and Brussels Sprouts.
Their red sauce is also delicious. We highly recommend Thaia!

So we show up and sit down and all was fine. We order our food and all is going smoothly. Then things go side ways. 40 minutes go by and the staff is nowhere to be found, no one is paying attention to us and there are hardly any diners at this point. We have yet to receive any food. We finally get our appetizer and the entrees should be shortly behind but they are not. The staff, the managers, everyone is oblivious to the amount of time we have been waiting. Again, wouldn’t be an issue except for the fact that there is only maybe 3 other tables that are either waiting for food or eating at this point. This is down right unacceptable. Especially considering not once did any management come over or offer any explanation. They were literally too busy talking amongst themselves or to patrons who have already been served. At this point, we are tired, hungry and have had enough. I ask for the food to be put in a to-go box when it is ready. To his credit, the waiter was apologetic when he realized what was going on and gave us some free beers. We eventually get our food and leave. To add insult to injury, rice doesn’t come with the curry, and we ordered rice for the curry. When we got home….we realized they forgot to include the rice. I would stay away from here. The service was unbelievably bad. And for a place that is taking over Ollie’s, you expect them to try much harder than whatever piss poor service they gave tonight.
And the food…save yourself and go to Cholada instead. It’s better quality and taste. And much more authentic. I am very disappointed. Walked in expecting to get a nice competitor.

I ordered the tuna cakes and spring rolls. A few hours later I felt extremely ill. About an hour after that I felt even worse and then threw up 4 times. I threw up my entire meal. Do not get food from this place! It’s over priced, doesn’t taste good, and will make you very ill. I’m warning you now, DONT buy food from this place.

The food is sooo hot. My kids could not finish their Pad thai. There is only one level of spiciness and that’s very hot, and you have no choice to reduce that for curries and a lot of other foods!
