Thai Trio is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Washington. I just happened upon it one day and now it’s my go to place. I have to seriously limit myself to once a week so I don’t spend all of my money here. My favorite dish is the salt and pepper pork belly. I tried to make it at home and still haven’t found how to make it taste as good as they make it. The flavors are amazing.

For the drink, I get the very milky strawberry banana and my husband gets the Thai iced tea which we both love.

Speaking of my husband, we just got married in October and actually went here after our marriage license signing to celebrate. It was the perfect end and delicious cap to our day.

The people here are also always really nice and always up to chat. It feels like a family vibe.

I’ve already highly recommended this place to friends so I’m doing the same for anyone else that’s reading this.

One day I’ll move on from the pork belly and try something else but for now, I’ll stick to it till I’m tired of it.

We wanted to fall in love with this place. Upon arriving we were offered a table. The “chairs” are simply metal stools. Not comfy. We ordered the Crispy Tamarind Delight (Chicken) and Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was so fishy that my wife, who likes fish, was nearly gagging. She could only eat three bites. Note that she has been enjoying Pad Thai for decades, including the day before our visit. She knows what it’s supposed to taste like. I also sampled the dish and agreed that it was super fishy. We told the server about the fish taste and smell, to which she replied that “we dont use fish in that.” We asked for possibly more of some sauce, to maybe lessen the fish taste. She said no, we dont do that. We found the Pad Thai practically inedible. They didn’t care, honestly. The chicken dish was tasty although the chicken was a little dry and tough. We won’t be back.

Nice place!
Ordered their special Tom Yum. They advised me on the spice level. Had 3. Next time will try 5, but I can easily tolerate spicy food.
Their mango stew my rice is really popular, saw many people ordering it.
They have to go options, so took one soup home.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and I was very impressed. The place is clean, the food is delicious—almost every dish—and the flavors are well-balanced, not too sweet or too salty. The service is excellent. I’ll definitely come back to try other menu next time.

Everything we tried was so delicious and will definitely go back. The staff are super nice, the restaurant is very clean and the menu has good options. The Thai Chicken Rice looks simple but has such nice flavor. I’m so glad I ordered it. The Yuzu Honey Lemon drink was really refreshing. We loved the sticky mango rice also.

This place is an absolute gem. Tucked near the Safeway in Sammamish, it is run by the sweetest couple. They were so warm and expressive when talking about their recipes, which they make with pride and love. The owner has over 40 years of experience running a restaurant in Bangkok Thailand and brought those same authentic recipes here.

I had the prawn Pad Thai and it was incredible. It’s all so perfectly balanced. Their spice level system is so great too. A 1-5 spice level.

I am from Portland where Thai food is everywhere, and I would gladly make a road trip back just to eat here again. They deserve so much more recognition. If you are in the area, do not miss this place.

Just the most delightful restaurant, especially the owners! We loved the pad thai, and basil chicken – very authentic and flavourful! The best Thai restaurant in the area IMO 🙂 they don’t have a lot of seating though and the seats are backless so good for a quick meal w a few folks! Also they don’t have high chairs

I usually order from this place and the food is consistently good. The only issue I’ve ever had is that pickup sometimes takes a bit longer than expected, but I understand that because I’ve worked in restaurants myself.
However, today I ordered a 1-star spicy Pad See Ew and it was extremely spicy. I always order 1 star from this restaurant, so I know exactly what their usual level is, and this was far beyond that. I tried to eat it, but it was simply not possible for me.

I called to let them know and see if there was anything we could do, but I was told they couldn’t help because spicy tolerance varies from person to person. While that’s true, this wasn’t a matter of tolerance; the dish was clearly prepared much spicier than their usual 1-star level. Consistency is important, especially when customers order the same dish every time.

It was disappointing, and unfortunately I won’t be ordering again.

Edit: Also, the portion size has changed a lot. They’re using a much smaller container now but charging the same price

RESPONSE TO OWNER:
What I got yesterday was nothing like what I’ve consistently received before. The spice level was way off, and the portion was clearly smaller than usual no matter what container you say you use. I’m not going to switch to “not spicy at all” when 1-star has always been fine until now. My feedback comes from multiple past orders.

I don’t have any interest in ordering again. You’ve lost a customer.

Very yummy Pad Thai! We came in after learning the establishment recently started serving on Sundays. The place is small but inviting. My favorite thing was their Premium Thai Tea. Also tried Pad Si Ew for the first time after a recommendation from our waitress Carmen. Very sweet and kind, my family instantly felt welcomed!

Overall, the food was very good, and the wait time is what you can expect from a typical Thai restaurant. Dining area is clean as well as the bathroom. Would come back again
