I stopped in for lunch to go. I got Khao Soi, and a Thai Iced Tea. Always friendly, efficient service here, today was no exception. Everything was packaged well to make it home with no spills or sogginess. If only I could get the Thai Tea in a one gallon option! Love this local gem.

This little hidden thai place is by far my favorite so far! We ordered pad Thai, drunken noodles and lo mein and they were all 10/10! Only bad part about this place is that it’s not closer to where we live lol. The people were so friendly and attentive and i absolutely can’t wait to be back!

South Knoxville finally has its own amazing Thai spot. You don’t want to pass this place up. The price is made up for with the generous portion sizes. The spice levels are fantastic and the spring rolls taste hand made. Everything tasted fresh. We dined in and got our food very promptly. Left so happy and satisfied. Glad we gave this place a try— we’ll most definitely be back!!

First time here and will be back! So this is in the old Kay’s ice cream building, if you’re coming from Henley, it’s easier to look for the cone than smaller sign underneath. Plenty of parking.
There’s about 10 tables inside. Older interior but very clean. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming.
Water is serve yourself, or bottled tea and soda. They also smartly kept serving some ice cream for those who have the habit. However I ran over after I saw them advertising shaved ice with yummy flavors including lychee, pandan, palm fruit, and others! It’s very refreshing after a spicy meal!
We got an order of spring rolls, which were crisp and hot, not greasy. Served with duck sauce. Their Tom kha soup is good, heavy on the lemon grass and a little less tangy/acid than Taste of Thai if you’re used to theirs. A bit lighter as well which was actually nice. You can get your choice of meat or tofu. Decent sized bowl too. Hubby had drunken noodle which was both lightly sweet and savory with a good amount of veggies. I had red curry, which even if you request mild will have a little heat – enough to sniffle a tad, pleasant. Served with a good amount of rice, didn’t have to ask for extra. You can choose noodles instead. Again, both entrees were protein of your choice.
Dessert was shaved ice, and you pick your toppings. They have bubble tea too!

Food was quickly prepared. My daughter, an expert in Thom Khaa Doup, gave her soup a 7 of 10. I had the Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken. The more I ate, the better it tasted! Good size servings.

This was my first time trying this restaurant and the staff were SO friendly and helpful! The food was so good and they give you a large portion! I got crab ragoon and wonton soup and it was amazing! My kids each got fried rice and they loved it! We also got fried ice cream and cheesecake. It was $56 for our entrees (3 people) and about $20 for the desert, it was definitely worth it. The atmosphere is very cozy, it’s a small place. We will be back for sure!

More than a review I would like to make a recommendation or a petition depending how you take it.

We love yalls food but the plastic containers to go are not it.
Please, please consider switching to something less harmful to our bodies.
The plastic containers stop me from getting to go orders most of the time because even though the food is delicious, it’s not safe to eat a hot meal out of a plastic container. I hope this isn’t taken the wrong way. And I hope yall consider it. It’ll make such a difference. Thank you!

I am beyond excited that SoKno has the best Thai food in Knoxville now! The springs rolls, gyoza, pad Thai, and drunken noodle are all the best I’ve ever had. The employees are friendly. The food is so rich and flavorful, perfectly seasoned. It tastes like someone is back there pouring their heart and soul into the flavors. I used to frequent Jai Dee, Chaiyos, Fai Thai, or Surin for my pad Thai but no more- Thai Time will be our new go-to.
