This is our new favorite Thai restaurant in Columbus, possibly even our favorite Columbus restaurant, period. The food is delicious, the service is always extremely attentive, and the place is quiet and pleasant. The owner is a sweet old lady who remembers everything about you. Lots and lots of wonderful vegetarian options. Gluten-free options too. Just leaving this review is making my mouth water—I think we’ll have to go back there for dinner tonight!

I love Thai Taste! The food is prepared beautifully and tastes amazing. I also love that they can make the food as spicy as you like. I have been going to Thai Taste since 2010 and when I became pregnant I ate there once a week. I have never had poor service or poor quality food. I’m devastated to see they closed their door on Sept 30 and a new owner has decided to open a Chinese restaurant.

I’m usually wary of new Asian restaurants in general, especially in the Midwest. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The decor and ambiance is nice and adequate for a mid-range Thai restaurant in a strip mall. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were more than I was expecting. I had the Thai garlic with pork and it was delicious. I would go here again.

Thai Taste has really delicious food; friendly, attentive staff, affordable prices; and a great ambiance. All these things add up to a wonderful dining experience.
I’ve been going to Thai Taste for years and I cannot recommend it highly enough to everyone. They have gluten free dishes and vegetarian dishes. I’m a vegetarian and they’ll even accommodate my requests to make items not on the vegetarian menu without fish sauce and without sugar.
The food is authentic and tasty. They have the ubiquitous pad thai but I recommend trying one of the curries or noodle dishes. Pad Key Moew is one of my favorites that might appeal to people who have yet to stray from pad thai. Pad Key Moew has noodles, thai basil, and veggies in a garlicky soy-based brown sauce. Another favorite is the Massaman Curry, which is a peanut and coconut milk curry that comes with a refreshing side salad of cucumbers in a sweet-tart dressing. The spice level can be adjusted from no spice to Thai-spicy. It’s based on your comfort level.
The staff is very friendly and will answer all of your questions patiently. They consistently remember us and welcome us back when we return, which is a nice feeling, but then they’ll also leave you alone to enjoy your meal. The owners are a sweet Thai couple. The woman comes out and chats with customers. She’s a sweetheart. The man comes out more rarely, but he has always been kind and friendly. Their amiable natures make Thai Taste feel cozy and homey.
There is a big salt water fish tank in the middle of the restaurant, which is fun to watch. The owners seem to really love their fish, too. At the end of the night, the male owner comes out and feeds the fish and watches delightedly as they nibble their food. There are no TV’s in the restaurant except one that quietly plays a loop of Thai beach scenes, that adds to the general ambiance. I HATE TV’s blaring in the background of restaurants. I would recommend this place for its lack of TV’s alone, but truly the food, the service, and the general hominess of the place make Thai Taste one of the best restaurants (ethnic or otherwise) in all of Columbus.
