Ever since I relocated to Atlanta in 2002, Thai Star has been my go-to restaurant, and my loyalty has remained unwavering. It served as a cherished lunch spot during my time with colleagues, and even after I left the company, we continued to gather at this establishment for company reunions. Today, I had the pleasure of sharing a long-awaited dinner with my grown-up son, whom I hadn’t seen in a year. We indulged in our all-time favorite dishes: Pad Thai with Tofu, Penang Curry with Chicken, and Basil Fried Rice, accompanied by the original Thai beer, Singha.

I came to try this place out because I always want to find a good Thai restaurant in Atlanta but not many good ones. There are lots of parking lots in open air, not parking deck. The restaurant is a stand alone building and it is spacious. The pad Thai is a little salty to my taste.

Maybe not the absolute best Thai food I’ve ever had, but very close. The menu, even the lunch special menu is extensive, the portions generous enough for you to ask for a to go box. Mostly you “pick a protein” to go with a withering amount of dishes. Others are one of a kind such as Nam Tok which can really be only one thing, which literally means Waterfall beef, my favorite Thai dish!

First time here and it didn’t disappoint. Had debated coming here for years because it never looked like anyone was there from the looks of the parking lot. Not many patrons on a Saturday night but we will definitely come back. Very good food and service.

Came in to order lunch on a Sunday food came out in time. The wait was not long. The pad Thai was super sweet and no lime and peanut were given with it… the drunken noodle was okay.. salty. The green curry was more like green soup. (From the video) this place needs to go out to eat with other Thai places in ga and find out what they doing wrong. This place is more for American Thai restaurants…

We have been coming here for the past 19 years and counting. Best Thai food in Atlanta. One Tuesday, I came to get some takeout for early dinner without paying attention to their hours. Well, the owner was outside talking to his contractor and he didn’t open for another hour. Well, he didn’t mind taking my order and asked me to sit inside while I waited – awesome service!

Enjoyed the food. Lots of customers at lunch, so other dishes must be good.

Thai Star is the best! . Everything that I have eaten there over the last several years is amazing! The spring rolls are so good (especially the sauce that comes with them). The staff is friendly and the owner is the absolute best! If you are in the area, make sure you check them out!

Lately the food has been missing lately. At times they put too much fish sauce. I ordered the massaman curry to change things up and it just tasted like peanut butter.

Food is always delicious and service is always quick and friendly. Only giving 4 stars because of the location. It’s next to a sketchy motel – not ideal. Totally worth it for the food though! My favorites are the larb, veggie stirfry with chicken (add chili paste sauce), and lemon grass soup. They have beer and wine as well. Super affordable, plenty of parking, and the best Thai food I’ve had in Atlanta.
