Spotted Thai Spoon on Google maps and they had a good rating so we stopped by for lunch. The place was empty which is good for us, but unforgivable based on our experience. Service is quick and kind.
The green curry was so good, every bite I was looking forward to the next. EAT HERE!

Edit: returned and got the green curry again it’s the best I’ve ever had! Broth is incredible.

The broth was tasty but it was expensive and I paid an extra $2.50 for veggies and they gave me like 4 small pieces. For 19.00 I should have had more and I a very small rice container.

Delicious food, extremely hot, served quickly. We orderd the red curry and seafood combo. Portions were good and we thoroughly enjoyed the food, as although it was a bit spicy for my taste. I ordered medium for the spice level, and maybe next time I’d order a little less spice. Small diner, wonderful lady at the counter. Overall, great experience.

Had the black pepper and garlic beef, and a shrimp Pad Thai. Tasted good and portion was pretty big. The only critique I have is that there were only 4 shrimp in my pad Thai and ratio wise a lot of noodles.

No thrill restaurant with sit down and clean after yourself option but with super delicious authentic Thai food. The owner is super friendly and food is always ready super fast. Servings are generous. A little bit on a spicy side for me even for mild opposition so I always ask for no spices.

The pad thai was definitely lacking a lot of flavor. I ordered the second highest spice level but there was no spice. It was sweet and served with a lemon (instead of lime), so it came across like a weird fruity taste. The shrimp had no flavor, almost as if boiled separately in water. Huge disappointment. Just no no no

Terrible … Simply terrible.

Since arriving in SE Michigan, I have been searching for good Thai food. When I saw the rating for Thai Spoon, I thought I might have found it. Unfortunately, it was not very good.

My first impression entering the restaurant was it is a bit of a hole in the wall. Worse was that it was terribly cold in the restaurant. The thermostat on wall showed 59F. Seriously? When the temperature on the street is 38F, you need to turn on the heat!

Second, we ordered at the counter 5 items. Total cost was just under $30. They call you to pick up your order at the counter. The food was prepared pretty quickly in under 10 minutes. Now to the food …

Soup Tom Yum with chicken had no vegatables and although the broth tasted okay, the soup was COLD. I guess when the restaurant is like a refrigerator, it’s hard to expect hot soup?

The Basil stir fry had very little basil and was very very salty. Additionally, it had lots of liquid that even the side of “al dente” rice provided could not soak up.

For the Thai salad we were given just chopped vegetables with tofu that looked like it was fried yesterday … I can do that myself at home! And no sauce/dressing? I double check menu description and yes, it is supposed to have peanut sauce. I ask for sauce at the counter and they gave me a thick, dark brown sauce that didn’t taste like peanuts. It is so thick that it is more like a paste and not easy to add and mix with the salad. Disappointing.

Shrimp fresh rolls were okay with the sweet vinegar dipping sauce, but nothing that was so good that you would remember this the next time you craved Thai food.

The only good thing was the Thai Iced Tea. It was very tasty.

I have tried eaten real Thai food in Thailand and have found some good Thai restaurants in my travels (see my other reviews). Unfortunately, this restaurant is not good. I cannot recommend this restaurant. In fact, I strongly suggest avoiding it.

Best thai food in A2, in my opinion, their food is actually spicy most of the time I’m disappointed when I order hot food and there not even a kick to it, but here, it’s a perfect mix of heat and flavor. Also the best thai ice tea.

Spontaneously stopped in to Thai Spoon….. I have been eating Thai cuisine for 30 plus years…. I have to say…. My first time eating here was such a great surprise…. The Pad Ped and Basil fried rice was outstanding……. My only regret is I live 40 miles away….
