Stopped by Thai Spice restaurant recently and it did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was beautifully prepared with rich, balanced flavors that really hit the spot. The spicy edamame was absolutely delicious!! Our server was outstanding friendly, quick to check on us, and made sure all our needs were met. The interior was impressively clean and welcoming too. If you’re in Corpus Christi or visiting and want top notch Thai, this is the place!

I really like this place; small, well appointed and great food. Authentic Thai, and so it the owner. Great guy.

We had the Curry Chicken, mild, and the quail. Excellent. For dessert we shared the Durian and Sweet Rice. I was pleasantly surprised as I thought it would smell horrible. Actually not at all. The texture was a little stringy, but smooth and the taste somewhat similar to papaya. If you’ve never tried it, this is the place to do so. Enjoy.

We have found this place a couple of years ago and since then have continued to make it a point to stop here during every trip here in Corpus! The prices are a bit pricey but worth it due to the quality and love and care that is put into their dishes. This place is a gem that we are glad to have found!

This a very beautiful small Thai restaurant. When I walked in a gentleman greeted me immediately. When I chose a seat he asked me what I’d like to drink and I ordered a Thai tea. When he brought the drink out I was surprised how big the glass was! Most Thai restaurants offer a small little glass but here they don’t not t skim out on a good drink! While I was looking over the menu the server brought out a complementary vegetable soup. He said the restaurant only offers this during lunch hours. The soup was light and refreshing. It had a light tomato taste with potatoes and cabbage in it. I was really in the mood for curry so i ordered the red curry with roast duck. The duck was cooked very well and the red curry is a bit spicy so just watch out if you cannot handle spice. Inside the red curry come with red bell pepper, broccoli, carrots, and zucchini (I think). With the dish you’ll get a bowl of rice, a whole pineapple slice, and a fried dumplings with the dipping sauce. Everything was really good and the curry had so much flavor and spice I would love to come back!

This is a special place. Table cloths, starched napkins, you can hear yourself think, delicious elegant food. Its hard to find a downside to this place. I gave the service 4 stars because the waiter (who was slammed with customers) didn’t bring us a to-go box or a to-go cup. That was the only shortcoming in the fabulous meal that my date and I had on a Friday in early September 2025.

My date had the pineapple fried rice that was presented in what appeared to be a taco salad bowl. The rice was a short-grain Asian variety with shaved carrots and other vegetables. The large shrimp that were added on were served with their tails on and a lovely “canoe” was carved out of a fresh pineapple as both a decoration as well as an interesting side dish.

It was fantastic and I enjoyed her willingness to share the meal with me–the portion was more than adequate.

Still though, I think I won the evening with my selection of Wagyu Meatballs served over noodles. The dish was served in a metal bowl that itself was heated so there wasn’t a “cold” bite in the entire experience. I enjoyed everything about the dish; the broad noodles had marinated in the sauce from the meatballs causing huge flavors in what may have been a lesser dish in some establishments.

The restaurant has a feel of an “old time” establishment. We were intrigued by the “hot” rankings–signified by red peppers next to the items on the menu. “How hot is hot?” was what we asked the waiter. He said that 2 peppers there would be like four peppers elsewhere. He wasn’t kidding. The owner or perhaps the senior staffer took our order and gladly included a small sampling of the hottest sauce they featured so that we could sample the heat factor. It was punitive. Compared to other places where service has gone the way of the dodo bird, Thai Spice was a welcome change. To say that we will return is putting it mildly. We’re enthusiastically looking forward to the next event whereby we can experience the delight once more.

We stopped by Thai Spice after a long sun-soaked day at the beach, starving, and the food did not disappoint. We had the shrimp & soft shell crab fried rice and Thai fried chicken wings. Everything was homemade (even the soy sauce), flavorful, fresh, and satisfying, exactly what we needed after hours in the sun. The warm welcome from the elderly man at the front was a highlight. He shared stories about his life in Thailand that made the place feel truly authentic.

However, restaurant itself could use some serious improvements. While the vibe does remind you of Thailand, it’s hard to justify spending at least $40 per person given the condition of the place. We couldn’t help but wonder where all that money is going.

We ended up there mainly because most other restaurants were closed.

Our waiter was so sweet! Vegan friendly and he was sure to ask and let me know in the kindest way.

We had the crispy tofu and vegetable dumpling appetizers and the red curry w vegetables. That curry has a kick, but so good! Watermelon was a sweet treat

Hibiscus tea is flavorful and refreshing too! Will return so I can try more things, especially those vegan friendly desserts
