Thai Soul Kitchen is an amazing “Vegetarian & Jain Friendly” place right in the heart of Almaden Valley in San Jose. We visited this restaurant with friends it was nice. Restaurant is pretty small with few tables inside and couple outside, so prepare to wait for some time before your turn. We visited on Saturday evening around 6:30PM and it was packed, tried to call in and make reservations, but because they might be busy, no one picked up the phone. We tried couple noodles (Pad Kee Mau & Rad Na, Green Curry, Basil Fried Rice, & Veg. Potstickers. Medium spicy is spicy for Pad Kee Mau, but other dishes were not too spicy. Being a strict vegetarian it was very important for us to not get our food mixed up with meats and loved how they have separate menus for Vegetarians, this is the first ever Thai establishment where they have entire separate vegetarian menu.
One suggestion to keep in mind: Call ahead of time for reservations on weekends.
Pricing: Prices of each item is little higher compared to other restaurants in the area, and quantities doesn’t justify the high price.
Parking: There is lot of parking in the lot since this is in the same parking lot as Safeway.
Location: Convenient location
Dietary Restrictions: Good place for Vegetarians, Vegans & Jains alike.
Coupons or other offers: N.A,
Views: View of Parking lot.

We had dinner there on Saturday night and loved it! There were 8 of us, I’m so glad I made a reservation, otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten seated, the place was packed! Every dish we ordered came out hot and yummy! The green curry I got was enough for 2 meals. Delicious! Have already recommended Thai Soul Kitchen to family and friends. They took great care of our large group, every employee we crossed paths with was so friendly and seemed quite happy to be there. 5/5 ⭐ Will definitely go back!

I have been to Thai Soul Kitchen several times, and there is a good reason to keep coming back! The food is always fresh and so flavorful. Although I’ve tried a variety of dishes, everything has been delicious and consistent.
The restaurant is quite small but the decor and atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly and helpful.
I particularly love the tom kha and mango sticky rice here, but you can’t really go wrong with any of their dishes!

We’ve had several lunches here & it’s always a crowd pleaser. Kids love the appetizers & noodles & adults love meat, curry and fish dishes and Logan juice & Thai tea & coffee. If I lived closer I’d be here like every week- it’s difficult to find good Thai food not overly sweet or too unseasoned for American palettes. This place has an authentic vibe & taste. Good vegetarian options too. Service is always friendly & you can tell they put a lot of effort and care into the food.

Thai Soul Kitchen in South San Jose is an absolute gem for authentic Thai cuisine. Though the place is small, the flavors are immense! Their Tom Yum soup is a must-try—so rich and flavorful, it hits all the right notes. We also loved their stir fry and drunken noodles; make sure to ask for it spicy, as they truly deliver on the heat! The dishes are packed with flavor, and the spice level takes it to the next level. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving delicious Thai food!

Fantastic place for vegetarians who love Thai food. There is a separate menu and plenty of very tasty options. Very tasty pad Thai and yellow curry and especially the appetizer fried taro was excellent. We ordered medium spicy which was perfect for us. The coconut rice was amazing(they don’t add sugar)
The mango sticky rice
Excellent super fast service. Make reservation as it’s a small restaurant. They don’t give reservation for a party less than 4 unfortunately.
As a fussy vegetarian this place feels so comfortable as the kitchen/staff is fully aware what we need.
Will be visiting several more times!

I had a mixed experience at this restaurant.
It’s in a good location with plenty of parking. The menu offers a wide range of choices to select from. They offer two separate menus – vegetarian and regular!
The pricing felt quite steep compared to similar restaurants I have tried before. For what we paid, the portions were noticeably small, and some dishes seemed a bit light on key ingredients/ protein. Additionally, while the dishes were flavorful, the balance was missing.
If you’re looking for a place with wide range of choices and don’t mind spending a bit more, it might be worth trying.

Walking into Thai Soul kitchen feels like stepping into a serene retreat tucked away from the bustle of the city. The ambient lighting, soft music, and warm-toned decor create an incredibly cozy and relaxing vibe. Whether you’re visiting for a quiet dinner or catching up with friends, the intimate setting makes every meal feel special. Not the best thai resto but decent enough. It’s also on the pricier side. The thai green curry is far from the one i had in bangkok. I like the mango sticky rice though.

I eat a lot of Thai food and this place is now in my top 3 for San Jose. Best papaya salad I’ve had. Penang Curry was balanced rich and flavorful
My only feedback is that the pad Thai noodles were overcooked and too soft. I like noodles to have some chew still. It was also a bit sweet whereas I’d like more of a savory flavor.
Service was attentive and prices were fair. We’ll definitely be back!
