We stopped by this restaurant while visiting the Big E this past year. My girlfriend found it because it was the closest Thai place to our hotel, and it was amazing! This is still one of the meals I think about the most. I ordered the Crying Tiger, and my gf had Pad Thai, she loved her dish. We also tried the chicken satay, which was tender and paired perfectly with the peanut sauce. The food was flavorful, authentic, and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, and even though we arrived close to closing time, they still let us dine in. We were both really enjoyed with our meal here.

The food here is EXTRAORDINARY. If you allow the location and small size of this restaurant dissuade you from trying it you will be doing yourself a great disservice. It is hands down the best Thai food I’ve eaten in the US. There is such care and elegance in the preparation of their meals it’s absolutely incredible. Talk about a hidden gem! The service matched the level of the food, graceful perfection. I almost didn’t want to leave a review because I want to keep this place a secret but that wouldn’t be fair to the folks who are putting such obvious care into making such delicious food. Oh yeah, and the prices are the same or lower that most Thai places that serve food nowhere near this caliber. We’re going back tonight and I can’t wait!

First time here. Small place but great food and service from the owner! We tried the chicken coconut soup, the crispy duck with curry sauce and the pho. The soup did not didnt, the duck was amazing, definitely crispy and not greasy at all, a little spicy. The ramen was flavorful and big. Just FYI, no alcohol is served here.

Awesome place to eat! Very friendly staff and consistently good food. I get the Country Noodles and my girlfriend gets the Pad See Ew with tofu triangle appetizers. We’ve has the same thing a few times and haven’t changed our order because these items are so good! The location is small with limited seating (never had a wait, however) and there’s always delivery drivers coming in and going out so it seems like a really popular place to order out from.

It’s a small restaurant with only a few tables. Take out is very busy and brisk. The food is great. However, I made the mistake of ordering the “Crying Tiger.” It was too spicy for me, even when “mild.” My server pitied me and gave me extra napkins and several refills of water. When she saw that it was not enough, she gave me a slice of chocolate cake to cool my palate down. Now that’s service!
Update. I had to come back to try their other dishes. I made sure I made less spicy choices. Had the tofu triangles that had a thin crunchy exterior and soft interior, which I crave. It was the sweet, mildly spicy sauce with minced peanuts that made the dish. I also ordered their crispy, meaty duck, which was also sweet and mildly spicy. Perfect and filling.

Ordered delivery, the only good thing about my order was it was still hot. The noodles over cooked, this meal could have been noodle pie . Pad thia should never be eaten as slices. I ordered Thai tea .. since it was never delivered I can’t comment on that . Over price and so not worth it

This woman was so rude! I am a grub hub driver and I had to wait for my order to be done, I asked to use the bathroom and she shook her finger in my face and said “no, no bathroom”, IM SIX MONTHS PREGNANT. Then she pretty much pushed me to this little bench by the door and told me over and over again that I can’t sit or stand anywhere else in the EMPTY restaurant other than the specified uber, DoorDash, grub hub bench. This is a full functioning restaurant with tables, booths, and they tell you no bathroom?? That’s wild to me. I would never eat here ever after that.

We have always loved Thai Shallot’s food. We have been getting food from them since they were on Riverdale St.
tonight we got take out and it was way below par. My Country Style Pad Thai was basically terribly. Mostly noodles that were not fully cooked and a few pieces of chicken. A smattering of peanuts, and a few bits of scrambled eggs. My husband’s Cashew Chicken had watery sauce and was vet bland.
They are not cooking at the standard they have in the past.
