To me, the best Thai places are the ones right off the beaten path and this place lives up to that thinking. The house spring rolls were amazing and the pad thai with extra. spice was perfect! This place is my new go-to for Thai food in Lubbock.

EXTREMELY RUDE woman at the counter! She has poor customer service and speaks poorly to customers. Moved from Houston recently. Having the experience of Chinatown and many good Asian eats in Houston, this Lubbock Thai is not that good. It was lacking flavor and the noodles were more greasy and sweeter than I’m used to. The interior is VERY small. I will NOT return due to the rude staff.

The servers are very nice, helpful, and quick.

As an Asian American who traveled to Vietnam and Taiwan last month, this place is very sweet. I think it is a Lubbock “where you at got to make it sweet” for the American palate. The Pad Thai, sweet. The Thai green tea, super sweet.

The curry? I liked it and will give it a 5 star for Lubbock. Everything else, 3 star for sweetness, but if the locals like it, then yes, keep doing that bc that is what they prefer — so make that paper (dinheiro).

Overall I give it a Lubbock 4-star. There were a ton of people ordering for take out and dine-in. And I like to support small immigrant business so give it try.

Everything is fine, but the waiter is too rude. I’m togo order. They don’t even let me open the bag and add some white pepper on the table and drive me away.

I love it here! Food is tasty and affordable! Satisfy your cravings without breaking the bank! There are so many good food to try so there is a good reason to come back from time to time! Crispy noodles or chow mien is like a comfort food for me. Green tea drink is surprisingly sweet! I am used to drink it without sugar but this one turned out great! Perfect for Summer days to beat the heat. Will definitely check my attendance back there!

These are my opinions on Thai Pepper:

The Good
– The best Pad Thai in a 300 mile radius
– Excellent curry, fried rice, and appetizers
– Take out available
– Near campus

The Bad
– Long wait times
– Crowded seating area
– Only open on weekdays
– Sometimes closed for extended periods of time
– Have to wait in line to pay when you leave
– $10 card minimum

There’s no doubt Thai Pepper has amazing food, and if the food was all that matters this review would be five stars. Unfortunately I typically have to wait ~15 minutes to have a server bring the menu when dining in if they are busy, and they are always busy because they are hardly ever open. I love the food but I find that often when I plan to get lunch/dinner there with someone that we arrive and they are either closed or too full for the number of people in our group, which has led to annoying situations. Overall the cost of the food is reasonable and I would recommend coming here to anyone, but I find myself coming less and less because the hassle isn’t really worth it.

Update: They renovated the interior, which is nice, but I waited for 15 minutes standing awkwardly by myself and still didn’t get a seat

Update 2: I got there and they closed for the evening, likely just to spite me. Well played Thai Pepper, until next time (maybe never since I graduate soon)

Update 3: bumping to 4 stars, I went back, find me a better pad Thai I dare you

Before I ordered, I actually googled the items I was ordering. I googled Thai chow mein, and ordered that. What I got wasn’t anything resembling what I thought I’d get. I attempted to call when I got home to confirm my order, but the phone went directly to a full message box. I drove back to the restaurant and the cashier said Thats definitely what I ordered. Just make sure you order items with pictures.

First time here in a long time. Tried the Crispy Chicken Pad Thai and it was excellent! Online or Togo orders today due to a death in the family. VERY kind service and the food was SO good! Why did I wait so long?
