The menu offers a wide variety of options, from classic Thai favourites to modern Thai dishes. I highly recommend the Prawn Cakes, Duck Salad, and Prawn Betel Leaves — all beautifully presented, packed with flavour, and absolutely delicious. Portions are generous, the service is friendly and attentive, and the overall experience is excellent every time. Whether you dine in or get takeaway, Thai Paragon Marrickville never disappoints. Truly the best in the area!
Would recommend this place to anyone wanting good authentic Thai food.
We recently visited Thai Paragon in Marrickville, and honestly, it exceeded expectations from start to finish. The ambience is warm and welcoming — casual enough for a weeknight dinner but refined enough for a proper sit-down meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations.
We started with a few appetisers that set the tone beautifully. The Prawn Hacoa was crisp and flavourful, packed with juicy prawns inside a delicate golden shell. The Deep-Fried Tofu had the perfect crunch, paired nicely with the sweet chilli sauce. My personal favourite was the Crispy Soft Shell Crab – light, crunchy, and bursting with that signature Thai blend of spice and zest. The Prawn Betel Leaves were another standout – fresh, aromatic, and beautifully presented with roasted coconut and lime.
For mains, we ordered a mix of classics and house specials. The Pad Thai with Prawns was spot-on — perfectly balanced tamarind sweetness, fresh prawns, and that signature wok-char flavour that every good Pad Thai needs. The Thai Chilli Basil Chicken with Eggplant had a wonderful kick of heat with fragrant basil throughout. The Lemongrass Sauce Fish was a surprise favourite – crispy on the outside yet tender and flaky inside, covered in a refreshing lemongrass and chilli-lime dressing that tasted incredibly fresh. The Classic Thai Fried Rice with Chicken was simple comfort food, light yet satisfying.
We couldn’t skip dessert — the Mango Sticky Rice was absolutely divine, with perfectly ripe mango and warm coconut sticky rice. The Deep-Fried Ice Cream was crunchy, creamy, and indulgent – a fun finish to the meal.
To drink, we tried the Cocomilk, Passion Fruit Mojito, Pink Lemonade, and Blue Lemonade. Each was vibrant, refreshing, and complemented the spicy mains perfectly – especially the mojito, which added a tangy tropical touch.
Overall, Thai Paragon delivers a fantastic dining experience with authentic flavours, beautiful presentation, and consistent quality. Whether you’re after a casual Thai dinner or a spot to impress your friends, this place hits the mark. Highly recommend trying the Lemongrass Fish and Prawn Betel Leaves – they truly capture the spirit of Thai cuisine.

Would I return? Absolutely — this might just be my new go-to Thai spot in the Inner West!
the rice for the Penang curry was VERY soggy and watery – the laab was very nice but it was basically one whole red onion put in there and hardly any chicken mince – it seems others have also complained about this (which is another reason I gave two stars and not 1 star) the laab spring rolls were nice, but I specifically asked for no chilli and they still made it extremely chilli. The fried chicken was good but had no flavour either. Such a shame, I really wanted to like this place.
