Pretty amazing Thai food with good serving size. The seating is very slightly limited but the place isn’t overcrowded during lunch hours, so I never had to wait. They have a nice seating area outside, too. Clean washrooms. Good staff.

Order 2 lunch orders, pad kra paw and pad see ew. Both are delicious. Thai custard was nice. The restaurant is very small, there are only 9 tables in total but the services were great and prompt.

I eat here often. Excellent food, friendly atmosphere and a treasured part of the Van Ness neighborhood. A rather small menu which is actually a good thing, since all the dishes are different and prepared with care. There is also a nice outdoor space right on Connecticut Avenue. The photo shows one of my favorites, Sukhothai Noodle Soup.

The food was mediocre for American standards. It was annoying that the staff came to our table as soon as each of us was close to finish meals saying “Are you finished?” 4-5 times! What’s the rush?? And it’s not a polite way to communicate with the customers. It could be phrased like “May I take your plate?”. But first of all, educate your staff not to snatch the plates from the people who are still eating. Give your customers some time to enjoy after meal chatting. You don’t have to clear tables a second after meals (or 3 minutes before). Maybe it’s some kind of authenticity but I don’t think most of the Americans would appreciate that kind of hospitality.

Enjoyed lunch with a friend here. We sat outside and while the weather was lovely, the trucks going by on Connecticut Avenue made it hard to hear. Our meals of the lunch special were tasty and spiced just enough to enjoy without mouth burning. I liked my Pad Ginger with Pork served with a green salad with a memorable peanut sauce. My friend liked her Pad Thai with Chicken served with a taro roll.

The service was good. The food was really good. Had lunch here on a weekday; food came out very fast. Everything was hot and tasteful. The drink was ok, little watery but still good. For desert I tried the mango rice, my first time having this and it was surprisingly good.
