We got the drunken noodle with pork. Pad Thai noodle with fried tofu. We tried the mini spring rolls appetizer. Thai iced tea and Thai coffee.

Everything was delicious. That kind of good food where you want to keep eating even though you’re full. We can’t wait to come back!

Side note-best thai iced tea in town! One of my favorite drinks to get and I’ll just be going here for now!

Here’s a pic of the pad thai when I scooped up my leftovers.

Thai Orchid is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant I’ve ever dined at. We eat here regularly and sometimes order for pickup, and the food has always been consistently delicious. Anne, the owner, is incredibly nice and friendly, it’s always a joy to see her! The whole staff is welcoming and kind, and the ambience is so relaxing. It’s the kind of place that makes me feel at home, especially since I’m from Southeast Asia.

One thing to keep in mind is to make sure to choose the spice level you can handle, because there’s no refund if it’s too spicy for you (they mean business!)

My go-to comfort food here is the Pad Garden. I’ve been ordering it since the beginning. I might sound like a boring person for sticking with it, but I genuinely love it. They also have a variety of dishes to choose from, so there’s something for everyone.

There’s convenient parking, and prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get.

I highly recommend trying their mango cheesecake dessert (so good!), the soup in the photo (I wish I remembered the name, but it was excellent), Pad Garden and Pad Garlic. Definitely a gem worth checking out if you happen to be in the Fargo and West Fargo area.

A great restaurant for people with allergies and kids! Menu is well marked and they could also accommodate my egg allergy. They brought my baby a plastic plate and fork to split my meal! The Owner is very friendly.

Quiet and tidy little resturant with wonderfully delectable food. The food was so tasty I ate it all before I could even take a photo of it!

Anne (the owner) and her sister were so pleasant and personable. I really enjoyed chatting with them after our meal.

They saw my wife holding our youngest daughter (4 months) and offered my wife a ginger drink to help her milk supply! I thought that was so kind.

We will definitely make the Thai Orchid our regular lunch spot when visiting Fargo!

The padt Thai really lacked flavor. I think their recipe just really missed the mark. Coming from Florida and traveling quite a bit, I was hoping their recipe would at least not taste like noodles dressed with chili sauce. Yikes! I really wanted to enjoy my food, but it didn’t work out well. Everything else was wonderful, from the appetizer to the atmosphere and customer service- wonderful! I didn’t send my food back. I tipped properly and left with a friendly smile, but was so sad to eat my leftovers trying to like it. Sorry guys, the padt Thai just was a big miss for me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect!

The moment we walked into Thai Orchid, we were greeted so warmly, and right away, it felt like home. There’s something about the atmosphere here—it’s cozy, welcoming, and has that special family-run charm that makes you feel like you’re not just a customer but a guest. Even though I’ve never been to Thailand, for a moment, I felt like I had stepped into a Thai home, where a family was serving us their most treasured recipes.

Now, the food—wow.

The spring rolls? Absolute perfection. That first bite—so crispy and golden on the outside, and then the filling just melts in your mouth. Fresh, flavorful, and everything you want in a good spring roll.

The Tom Kha Soup. Oh. My. Goodness. This was our first time trying it, and we were blown away. The creamy coconut broth, the tangy, savory, slightly sweet mix of flavors—it was like a warm hug in a bowl. I swear this soup has some kind of healing magic in it. It’s that comforting.

For our mains, we had the Evil Prince and the Cashew Nut—both were amazing. The Evil Prince had this perfect kick of spice, balanced with rich, deep flavors that made every bite better than the last. The Cashew Nut dish was just as incredible—the crunch of the cashews, the tender veggies, and that delicious sauce all came together in the best way. We kept stealing bites from each other’s plates because we couldn’t decide which was better!

This place is officially our new favorite Thai spot in Fargo. Everything—the food, the atmosphere, the hospitality—just feels special. We’ll definitely be back, probably sooner than we should! If you haven’t been here yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it.

Updated *** The Thai food here is GREAT. After having it a few more times and eating at other thai restaurants in town… I’d say it’s the best in Fargo. It’s a different type of authentic. It’s very personal flavors from an authentic Thai family. It doesn’t claim to be all parts of what makes really great Thai food. The service goes above and beyond. If you like getting to know the proprietors – this is the place for you. They enjoy getting to know their customers, coming out, and having conversations with their diners. You won’t find friendlier owners. I’m very proud of this place!

AMAZING! Great service in a relaxed atmosphere! The Curry is amazing and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! Make sure to not underestimate the heat scale from 1-10 when you order, it is very accurate! A heat scale of 3 here is about the same as “inferno” at any run of the mill chicken wing place!

Thai Orchid is hands-down one of the best spots in town. It’s a small, family-owned restaurant, and you can feel that warmth the second you walk in. The staff is always so genuine and welcoming, like they actually care that you’re there.

The food is unreal. Every dish tastes super fresh and full of flavor without being overly heavy. The curry is creamy and perfect, the pad thai has that sweet-savory balance, and the portions are generous without being too much. You can tell everything is made with care, not rushed.

It’s one of those places you go once and immediately know you’ll be back. Great food, great people, and a real family vibe you don’t find everywhere. Highly recommend Thai Orchid to anyone who loves authentic Thai food or just wants a cozy, honest meal.
