One of the best Thai restaurants in Spokane. The food is fresh and prices are reasonable.

I would dare say this is the best Pad Thai in Spokane. We had a pretty big order for the office and the owners had it ready for us right when they opened, and helped me carry it all out to my car. It was all perfectly packaged and tasted amazing!! They also accommodated our gluten free and vegan eaters as well without hesitation!

Great food, good service, the owner is always on site. but they have very limited hours. Their lunch hour is 11:30 to 1:00 they reopen at 5:00 p.m. for dinner so you have to have a plan to arrive before 1:00 or you won’t get seated. The food here runs spicy, a three star here is equivalent to a four-star in most other Thai restaurants. If in doubt order fewer stars and have them bring out spices for you.

Order Chicken Pad Thai and the Spring Rolls. Food was made quick and it was a good price to what you got.

The food wasn’t so great. Pad Thai seemed like it was spaghetti noodles, it was super dry, and way over spiced for a 2 out of 5⭐.

I had hoped to find fresh rolls but they only had Spring Rolls. These were just moosh on the inside. The were nice and crispy though. There also wasn’t enough sauce for the number of rolls you got.

Thai on first is delicious! My first impression of the menu is that it’s quite extensive. There are a boatload of options! They warned us that the food is particularly spicy, so I asked for 2.5/5. I usually get 3/5 at most Thai places, but the 2.5 was about right. My wife had that Pad Thai at 1/5 heat, which was really good. The portion was about right for the price. I got the #27, which I can’t pronounce or spell. It was really good, but the price was a little steep for the quantity. I don’t like that rice isn’t included with your purchase. It’s an extra $1.50 per person. I also don’t like that pop(soda) is by the can….which could get expensive at $1.50/can. Overall the food is close to 5/5, but the rice and pop situation take a star away. Definitely worth a try!

Downtown parking is always fun, and this place is no exception. Great selection and prices on the menu. First time in and I’m going to give it another go. Wait times seem a bit long for food, drinks take a while to get refilled, and getting the bill took even longer. Ordered a two star dish and there was zero spice to it, really missed the added flavor of a good two star… We’ll see how next time goes.

Thai On First is by far the most authentic and delicious Thai restaurant in Spokane, possibly the northwest. Highly recommend their Tom Kah Gai, no other restaurant even compares to their recipe. But really I haven’t had a bad thing on their menu. I’ve been coming here for the last twenty years, and the day they close their doors will be a very sad day indeed.

Terrible red curry. Service and prices good.
I ordered a #14 red curry with chicken, 3 stars.
The curry is very watery and tastes like top ramen. I would be surprised if they used any coconut milk.
I usually order 4 star spiciness in Spokane, but 3 is usually safe. I always order red curry with chicken, wherever I go. This is, by far, the worst red curry in Spokane. They make it extra spicy, masking the absence of the full flavor I expect with curry.
I am only giving it 2 stars because the service was par and the price was better than average for Spokane.

Ordered some Tom Yum for lunch to go and it was delicious! Their to-go cups are a little unconventional (to-go coffee cups) but oh well! The soup was exactly what I wanted, hot, sour, and spicy! Perfect for cold season. It was quick service and the staff was very polite and friendly. The only somewhat negative is the price of the soup, it’s a little high. I will still order the soup in the future though!
