I recommend this place.
The night when my husband and I got there, they had 5 tables guests. The waiter arranged us to sit at a corner table which it didn’t have a light, it was pretty dark. We asked if we could sit on one of the available 4 chair table and he said ” oh, that is only for 4 guests”— usually I would understand this situation if they were very busy and there were no available tables. However , what he said was not true. Four of five table guests are couples were sitting on four chairs tables! And he only allowed us to sit on two chairs table in a dark area. During the service time, this waiter didn’t bother to come over to check on us. I had to get up to get chopsticks by myself. I don’t like to see a restaurant serving good food but not good waiter. Their food quality was great! After trying three Thai food restaurants around this area, this one tastes way much better than the others.
But they did has flys flying over our food on the night we went to eat.
The atmosphere is great too. We came back here a few times since 3 years ago.
Had their pineapple fried rice, pad Thai, Rad Na and curries too. All their food is very tasty and also generous portion. Highly recommend Drunken Noodles, Panang Curry and Tom Kha.
****I love it that we were also given eggrolls and a salads to start off with!!!!
For both of us we ordered a lot – fried calamari, crab cakes, Tom yum noodle soup and crab meat fried rice and lastly fried icecream for dessert.
I would rate them as follows –
Crab cakes, noodle soup, crab meat fried rice, fried ice cream and fried calamari.
I would again try the first floor any day.
A big shout out to the girl who was setting up the restaurant for evening service, but still was checking on everything regularly. She was always smiling while serving. A star just for her….
Ok, this place is fantastic!
Look, I’m not an expert in food, much less Asian food. I travel to Asia for work occasionally.
Here’s the thing, I cant say this is the “most authentic” in the City/State/US. What I can tell you is the green curry instantly reminded me of my last trip to Thailand. For me, that’s what makes it great.
Meal started off with a side salad. Not on the menu and unexpected. Very welcome
The gyoza were nice and crispy, not too oily.
The Thai dumplings were a little Herby and very tasty.
Green Curry at level 1 spicy was great. I would have enjoyed 2 and tolerated 3 if it scaled appropriately. Got 1 cause wife & kids. 0 is also available.
Kids (4&5) ate stir fried mixed vegetables with chicken. It didn’t last.
Drunken Noodle was a 0. Tasted delicious and would have been (for me) so much better at 1 or 2.
We ended up with 2 desserts.
Sticky Rice with mango. Kids destroyed it. I thought it was delicious.
Thai donuts. Had sugar and powdered coconut spread on top. A side of dulce de leche, i think in English that’s condensed milk. Super thick and sweet cream that’s like icing.
I’m so glad I’m less than 6 miles from this place. I will be coming back to get my fix regularly.
