When I went, I got their crispy duck salad, tom kha, pad thai, and pad see ew. I loved their crispy duck salad and thought that the dressing/sauce paired so well with the veggies and fruit that they put in as well as with the crispy duck. Their tom kha was also delicious and full of our protein of choice. And while I still enjoyed their pad thai and pad see ew, I wish they just had a bit more flavor to them. Nonetheless, it was still good and not a bad spot for Thai food in the area!
I started with chicken spring rolls — a small portion of 3 or 4 rolls. They were fried nicely and served warm, though the flavor was fairly basic. Next, I tried the fried fish cakes. They were tiny in size (about 5 or 6 pieces) but came with an interesting peanut-chunk sauce. The fish cakes were actually quite good and ended up being my favorite part of the meal.
For the main dish, I ordered minced chicken sautéed with chili, bell pepper, and spices, served over rice with a fried egg on top. This is my usual go-to dish at Thai restaurants, so I had high expectations. I was a bit surprised to find very little basil, which I usually look for in this dish. The flavor overall was mild, not spicy, and felt a bit plain.
On the positive side, the portion was generous — enough for two meals — and overall it was satisfying, though nothing about the food really stood out as exceptional. A decent, basic Thai option, but not extraordinary.
After a much-needed pedicure, I decided to try a new spot — Thai Me — and I’m so glad I did. The service was great: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. One thing that stood out immediately was the owner asking if I had any food allergies before taking my order that alone is worth 5 stars. I’ve dined at many places, and I’m usually the one who has to bring that up, so I truly appreciated the proactive care.
I ordered the Mango Salad, subbing in chicken, and it was a hit. Super fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced — salty, sweet, and vibrant. I’d personally tone down the sweetness of the dressing just a bit since the mango itself already brings a lot of natural sugar. Still, a solid 9/10!
The real star of the show? The beer-braised beef ribs absolutely 10/10. Fall-off-the-bone tender, rich in flavor, and cooked to perfection.
I’ll definitely be back. This spot is a gem.
Also lovely staff and environment!
highly recommend starting out with their chicken wings for appetizer and moving onto the crispy duck cow soy for main course. The broth was super flavorful and reminded me of when I had this dish in Chiang Mai several years back
