This may be the best Thai restaurant I’ve attended in the DMV area, possibly even better than Crystal Thai in Arlington, which has won awards for authenticity, and is also a great restaurant.

The food is good – as the name implies, the lemony Thom Kha soup is extremely tasteful. The noodle dishes (For example, the staple Pad See Ew) are good. It’s about the right price.

It’s a beautiful restaurant adorned with a southern kitchen feel indoors – they should show you shots of the inside on here and the website. I wasn’t able to snag a good one. [Edit: I took two photos after I came back]

The only real negative thing I can say is the location of the restaurant makes it hard to drive to – but there’s enough parking once you arrive. This is an ideal spot for a local to go on a date.

There are some reviews here commenting on spice – I was provided with four little dishes for adding some heat, and accidentally put a little too much chili on, oops. So I guess know you’re ordering thai level spicy if you do that lol.

What a wonderful dining experience – Fern was wonderful! Very attentive to our table, refilling our water and making suggestions on the menu – spot on! The ambiance and light and cheery atmosphere enhanced the experience with soft Thai and US hit music in the background! Also, I was delighted by the appearance, portion size, and flavor of the food. I highly recommend – and this coming from a visitor from out of town who has 5 Thai restaurants in the family.

My food was delivered by Uber eats tonight. The eggrolls were delicious with the sweet and sour sauce. The four eggrolls filled me up but the broccoli and chicken with steamed rice looked and tasted fantastic. I had two servings and didn’t feel bad because it was a healthy meal. The garlic was not overwhelming. I will definitely order from here again.

Got to this place and was first very happy with the parking situation. No parallel parking needed, small parking but it’s a parking lot! ️

Walked in and got greet right away by staff. We had a party of six and ordered so many different types of food. After we place the order, everything comes out fairly fast so I would rate service to be amazing. The restaurant is small but very roomy and cozy. Food ratings in my opinion:
1. Fried chicken wings: crispy, seasoned, perfect. Comes with chili sauce
2. Gyoza tasted home made and different. Crispy.
3. Pad see yew: Noodles and protein was perfectly seasoned, tasted perfect with the jalapeno
4. Pad Thai: A bit smaller portion than other thai places but was seasoned well.
5. Massamun Curry: Interesting taste and delicious with rice. Not my fav but it’s everyone at the table’s favorite.
6. Whole fried fish: The star of the show!!!! I love this dish and so does everyone else. Super crispy, sauce that comes with it was amazingly seasonsed. Price is reasonable.
7. drunken Noodles: yum! Always one of our go to dish at thai restaurant!
8. Fried tofu: Crispy, not enough sauce but still really good!
9. Papaya salad: Not my fav as it seems to be missing a little sour but still good.
10. Banana roti: MY FAV. It’s soft on the outside and inside. Perfect amount of chocolate sauce and condense milk. I would be able go each the dish by myself.
11. Fried banana and vanilla ice cream: fried banana egg rolls are crispy and so good witth ice cream. but nothing special
12. Mango sticky rice: I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to bring 5 of these dishes home because whyyy is it so good! The sticky rice is moist, soft and perfect with the mango. Lots of mango and rice but i should have bought one to bring home because the taste is amazing! My favorite thai restaurants mango sticky rice!

Over all, with 12 dishes later, between the 6 of us, the price total was $187 which is not bad at all for alexandria area. If I’m ever in the area, i would love to come here again!

I had such a wonderful experience at this Thai restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how fresh, clean, and inviting the space felt. The decor is cute and lemon-themed, creating a relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for a casual lunch or a cozy dinner. The neon sign on the back wall is a unique touch.

The menu offered a variety of options—including classic favorites like Pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. I was there with kids, and the staff readily accommodated their customizations. I recommend ordering from the lunch special menu, which includes an appetizer and main course. Everything we ordered was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh ingredients.

What really stood out was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Everyone was so friendly and genuinely welcoming—it made us feel right at home.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for great Thai food in a comfortable, well-kept setting. I’ll definitely be back!

Food was delicious! I had Minced Chicken Salad. Best Thai milk tea I ever had. My daughters fiancé is a picky eater, but he loved the House Fried Rice and a Lemonade Thai tea. My Daughter enjoyed her meal as well, Pad See Ew. To finish strong we ordered the Fried Banana w/ice cream, it was lovely! Definitely recommend and coming back.

This was our first visit to Thai Lemon Restaurant in the Van Dorn Shopping Center in Alexandria. The space is clean and bright, and the staff are very friendly. I ordered a spring roll, drunken noodles with chicken, and hot ginger tea—all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. I’ll definitely be coming back!
