Popped in to this centrally located restaurant without a reservation and they were able to free up a table as long as we were out at a certain time (unlike other earlier restaurants tried with clearly empty tables but were unwilling to seat us). The staff were really friendly and inviting. Have eaten here before but not for many years. The food and menu variety is excellent and all our food was hot and flavoursome. The price was very reasonable for the amount we had and we didn’t leave hungry. An lovely Thai restaurant which is well worth a visit.

Don’t be fooled by the lack of modern decor and old fashioned laminated menus, Thai Lanna is a little gem in Norwich city centre.

The food is good value, but most importantly is clearly made with love, great spicing and flavour balance.

The best Thai I’ve had in a while, easily beating all the well-known mainstream Thai restaurants for taste.

We’ll be back for sure.

Had a wonderful meal on a busy Saturday evening. The place was busy, simply because the restaurant was very small with a ground floor and upstairs dining room. They managed to squeeze us in for an 8.30pm sitting which worked out just fine.

Had the chicken wings for starters, followed by chicken pad Thai and Red prawn curry and jasmine rice.

Was delicious, service was warm and friendly.

The separate dinner plates are served hot, which was a nice touch as well.

Chose this restaurant as seemed to have the best reviews and food photos out of all the other Thai restaurants, and was not disappointed.

Even when we left the restaurant was still full, must be very popular, so recommend booking ahead to get a table.

Will surely come again, when next in Norwich.

Thank you!

We came here late without a booking having had a dreadful experience at another Thai restaurant in Norwich, and they could not have made us more welcome. They made it clear the kitchen was nearly closed but were happy to offer us a main. The food was beyond delicious, piping hot, and the staff were simply wonderful. Welcoming, friendly, and so attentive.
Thank you so much Thai Lanna!

I’ve walked past this restaurant regularly ever since I came to Norwich in 2014. I’ve often been told it was worth a visit by friends and acquaintances but somehow it just didn’t happen…….. Until today when my wife and I came for lunch.
We arrived at 1.30pm to find the place pretty much full except for one small table…. Just what we wanted. Their menu is simple which is a good sign. We each chose to have a starter and a main which worked out at £25 for both of us.
In a reasonable time our food arrived. We both had different dishes so we could sample each others. The food was good. We enjoyed it and will go again. Who knows, we might even become regulars

Just a final note. The toilets are upstairs and are simple but clean.

I was invited by friends to go for a meal out they chose this restaurant I have to say it could easily become a regular.
A small restaurant area downstairs with bar and seating area with toilets upstairs.
It appeared to be a family who ran it , the welcome for an unbooked meal was welcomed .
Service was fast efficient and always with a smile , not really knowing what Thai food was like the menus were illustrated which was helpful. I shared the fixed meal for two and it was well balanced and delicious.
Prices were good compared to eating out anywhere else , I had a great night out with friends and good food .
