We ordered the curry, pad thai, and vegetable egg rolls. It was an enjoyable meal. Definitely would return!
Friendly staff, delicious food and solid portion sizes everyone in your party will leave happy.
The fresh spring rolls and the egg drop soup were a hit with the whole group, worth it!
The menu has many choices and I decided on Pad King she asked how spicy I wanted it and we had a discussion on American spicy it Thai spicy. I choose 6 Thai spicy. The food came out fairly quickly and I got white rice with my meal. I think the spice was just more red pepper flakes and not a real Thai spice for heat. But the dish was decent and I got a portion size that was about right for lunch. There were no leftovers which is unusual for me because I normally can’t eat the entire meal.
I think the place although hidden in a corner or a small shopping center had good food and was extremely clean the staff was outstanding.
Thai Issan is off to a fantastic start! The customer service was top-notch—everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. I ordered by phone and they made the process super easy. Even when I was running late (and couldn’t find my car keys), they gave me a friendly reminder call and were totally understanding. That level of care goes a long way!
I also really appreciate that their prices are more affordable than other spots in the neighborhood—thank you for keeping it accessible!
Now for the food:
Tom Kha Soup – WOW. Easily in my top five of all time. I order this dish often and theirs is rich with coconut flavor, perfectly balanced—not too sweet—with amazing fragrance from fresh herbs. The mushrooms were great, and they were happy to accommodate my special request for light onion. 1000% recommend this dish!
Mango Sticky Rice – A few bucks cheaper than other places, but just as good. The mango was perfectly ripe and the rice had a great texture. It could’ve used a touch more coconut cream for my taste, but if you like your sticky rice on the less-sweet, more natural side, this is for you.
Pad Thai – Solid. Nothing especially standout, but it hits the mark if you’re in the mood.
Chicken Satay – Loved that they included two sauces! The curry seasoning was good, but I prefer my satay a bit more tender and marinated—it tasted more like a grilled chicken entrée. Still enjoyable, just a different style than I’m used to.
The space is cute, welcoming, and easy to get to with convenient parking. A great little gem whether you’re local or just passing through. I’ll definitely be back!
– Fresh spring rolls: 4 pieces of big rolls. The vegetable filling was fresh and the peanut sauce was good.
– Egg drop soup: good & simple warm soup on snowy day. The soup wasn’t overly salty and lots of egg inside.
– Pad Thai with chicken: it was ok. It didn’t taste authentic but it still tasted good (taste on sweeter side). Lots of big chicken pieces.
