Visited Isaan Thai Restaurant for dinner. We were really excited for the food, and it definitely delivered on taste everything was quite delicious. However, the service timing was disappointing. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the food took a very long time to arrive, especially one of the two appetizer we ordered came only after we had nearly finished our entrées, showing a lack of proper food flow.

The server was kind and friendly, which we appreciated, but the long wait and poor pacing affected the overall dining experience. Great food, but the service needs improvement to match the quality of the dishes.

Reading through the various reviews it’s apparent who has been to Thailand and embraced the essence of mai pen rai and Thai culture and those who wish to impose North Amercian fast-food standards. My bros-in-law is Thai. My sis-in-law lived and taught in Thailand for 18 years. I’ve had the pleasure and enjoyment of authentic Thai cuisine within my family and in Thailand, and Thai-Isaan makes authentic Thai dishes. The food is fantastic. The service reminds me of Thailand. Dishes are produced fresh, with the needed time and cooking technique to produce exquisite flavours, textures and presentation. Demand can be high. Production of dishes in what is effectivley a one-person chef kitchen can be slow. Patience wins all kinds of favour. The longest that I’ve had to wait for an order has been 2 Singha – the measure of fabulous anticipation. People need to take a breath and enjoy one another’s company. I’ve had wonderful conversations with tons of people who I’ve only met while seated in the restaurant, while I sip and anticipate the meal to come. If you want food on demand, then head off to the DQ, the local McDonald’s or many of the other on-demand restaurants – no need to ruin the genuine experience of a little piece of displaced Thailand in the middle of Tsawwassen. People should treasure this gem of a place and the family that is committed to it. I have never experienced rudeness or been disappointed by the wait, as some have relayed. Sometimes we manifest our own negative experiences, and need to learn how to navigate life with a measure of grace, patience and appreciation.

My 1st time ordering here. I ordered Pad Thai. It’s very, very good! They asked the Spicy/Hot level I wanted from 1 to 10. I went with 6 which has a nice bite to it. I”ll definitely order from this place again & look forward to trying new dishes.

Overall highly recommended for the food. The service is fairly slow, so if you’re going for a quick bite – reconsider. The red seafood curry and coconut rice was actually nearly out of this world. The papaya salad and crispy fried chicken were fresh, uniquely flavoured and great appetizer choices. The pineapple fried was alright, nothing special.

We just happened to stop here for a quick lunch and were warmly welcomed by the charming owner.

When taking our order, she warned us the food is already spicy, so perhaps choose a medium and she’d add extra spices on the side – she was right! And it was a great suggestion!

We tried the BBQ Pork Shewers and the Beef Pad Thai and both were delicious!

The Pork skewers were a generous portion, grilled perfectly and were slathered with delicious herbs! SO tasty!

The PAD Thai was very tasty, fresh and spicy and a large enough portion to share!

There is plenty of parking available, and if you are a plant lover, you’re in for some eye candy here!

I was highly amused at the way the owner reserves her tables – she places plants all along the table!

This restaurant has charmed us and we’ll be back again!

I was driving along 56, because apparently it’s their main strip. We noticed a Thai place, the only Thai place around this area. So we parked and decided to give it a gamble.

Parking is ever convenient in this plaza.
The host and owner greeted us. He’s a very kind gentleman. He mentioned he was Thai and that his wife is the cook in the kitchen.

We asked for recommendations because it was our first time. He said you must try the pad thai. The plate is very big and can feed two people. He then mention the red curry with rice. We agreed.

I kid you not this place is a hidden gem for the best pad thai in tawassen. In fact I think it’s the best pad thai we had so far in BC. If you love spice like us, get it spicy like “Thai spicy.” The sauce in this dish was amazing. Tomato, tamarind, oyster sauce. I really think the wife had another secret ingredient in this dish.

We then tried the red curry. You have a choice of beef, chicken, pork, prawn, tofu. We decided on beef. I loved every bite of this dish that in the end I licked the bowl clean! I didn’t care who was looking. It was so flavorful and aromatic. Just intoxicating. The bamboo shoots had a nice crunch. The coconut wasn’t over powering.
Would we come back again? Yes.

I came here for lunch by recommendations from my coworkers. The owner greeted me with a friendly gesture when I walked in. I’ve tried several restaurants but Thai-Isaan is in a whole new level. Their Chicken Pad Thai is very flavourful. It’s a perfect combination of spicy and sour. Especially it’s not too oily. That’s exactly what I’m looking for. I tried their new fried chicken dish as well, and yes, it has to be a must try item because it’s so crunchy and delicious!!!!! I also overheard how the owner carefully gave instructions for TOGO dishes to another customer. I bet we all can see that she put tons of love and efforts to this place. Prices are absolutely affordable for good food and the services. I’ll definitely come back again!!

I’m not sure why this place has under 4 stars. The food we got was great, all of it was delicious.
The owner(?) and his wife are both so nice too.
Highly recommend this place!

We came for the first time without reservations. Not busy but service is slow as they are a bit understaffed. Food was delicious – especially the eggplant pad and the bbq pork skewers! My partner liked the very hot level of spice – he said it’s enough heat without being painful haha. The coconut rice is tasty but may not be liked by some for its sweetness. Overall would order again. 🙂 We ordered more than what we needed but it was so tasty we ate everything!
