I was told this was the best Pad Thai in Fairbanks. I was also told that Fairbanks has very good Pad Thai. Before I get into the details of the food, let’s begin with the restaurant.
Located in downtown Fairbanks, this chic funky restaurant is decorated on the outside in trendy Fairbanks fashion while offering very elaborate eastern artwork to really add to the authenticity of the decor. Our server was Thai and his english was broken (not a bad thing) and I felt like we were off to a good start.
The restaurant was packed, which is a testimony to the popularity. The restrooms were clean and the restaurant seemed in order. I order my Pad Thai and this was the last time I saw my server until we paid. I ordered the hottest they had and it came out mild. I wasn’t able to ask for any additional chili spice because we were not attended to for the remainder of our meal. I was not terribly offended by either of these – they were busy and I know heat scales are different at every Thai place I have reviewed. This is where they lost a star.
Overall the Pad Thai was very tasty. It was on the oily side and didn’t come with any garnish. In the dozens of Thai places I have tested, typically they add vegetables, sprouts and chopped peanuts. Not necessarily all three. This dish seemed a bit rushed. The flavor was very good and accurate to Thai cuisine. There were light notes of fish sauce (not too much) and a sweetness that had me exploring for hidden basil within the disk. There was some onion which was very flavorful but no other vegetables. There were a few sprouts but not significant enough to change the flavor of the dish. Interestingly enough, there was quite a bit of tofu – maybe the noodles were premade with this?
Overall the food was good. I would come back, but it is possible to convince me of a better place to eat this dish.

I ordered the vegetarian fried rice through DoorDash. The taste was actually great—flavorful and well-seasoned. However, it was way too oily, which made it a bit heavy. Also, the to-go packaging wasn’t great; it was flimsy and made it quite difficult to serve without making a mess. Good food, but could use improvements in preparation and packaging.

Lovely service, I didn’t have to wait for a table for much longer than a minute or two. Packed house, plenty of happy guests! The Thai tea here is fantastic. I’ve had experiences at other places where the tea is watered down, but this was not the case here! The chicken satay was a little pricey at 15 dollars for the 4 pieces, but the quality made up for it! Would definitely take someone for a date night here or for a family outing.

We ordered take out during our stay in Fairbanks. The staff was very courteous and our meal was prepared and nicely packaged in a short amount of time. We ordered egg rolls, pad Thai noodles, and drunken noodles with chicken. The portions were very large and shared between three of us with leftovers for the next day. This was a treat as we don’t have Thai food where I live. Very tasty!

Thai house has been my favorite Thai restaurant for over 25 years! Every time I come back home to Fairbanks I have to stop in and get some Green Curry, Thai Iced Tea and Spring Rolls.
My mom and kids came this trip and we enjoyed Pad Sweet Pea, Nuer Yang (Bbq beef), and Thai noodle soup as well

Traditional & cozy Thai eatery. Stopped by on a Friday night & was met with an energetic & lively crowd. Place was packed. Small team but all were so friendly, welcoming, & efficient. Ordered the Pad See Ew & Crispy Tofu appetizer. I liked the appetizer but it seems a bit overpriced. The Pad See Ew was good, but the dish was too sweet & the noodles were cut in smaller pieces. It’d be better if the noodles were kept in it’s original longer shape. Overall, decent place for Thai cuisine.

We had dinner here twice and took away one meal. It is very close to the nearby hotel. The beef (shrimp) fried rice and curry beef rice are highly recommended. The white rice has a coconut flavor.

Short wait time to sit down, able to order quickly, food came really quick. Excellent and authentic spice pallet for Thai food. Excellent portions, cooked properly, and overall excellent service. Servers are actually Thai and I believe the cooks are all Thai too. We had moo yang, nuer yang, pork fried rice, nuer nom tok, egg rolls, and stir fried beef with bamboo shoots. Also had their thai iced tea and it was on point.

We ordered curry which does not meet our expectations. BBQ pork is not soft to eat. Pad Thai is good and not sour. The service is good though we’re in another hidden area but it takes time to get service.
