I visited Thai Esane after hitting the antique mall and had a wonderful experience! The pad thai was delicious and HALF OFF because it was a Monday (only $6.50). The employees were so kind and helpful. I recommend coming on a week day because I hear the plaza gets packed on the weekends. I’m excited to come back and bring my friends!

Esane Thai makes tasty food, but serving it in Styrofoam is unacceptable in 2025. Both meals I ordered when pickled up was hot enough to melt the container, which means toxic chemicals likely leached right into my food (see photo). Styrofoam is banned in many cities for exactly this reason — there are safer, eco-friendly options.
On top of that, the flimsy plastic fork bent with every bite and was too small for the big veggie cuts. It’s frustrating when a place with such good flavor undermines the experience — and safety — with cheap packaging. I’d love to order again once they switch to compostable or paper containers.

This was a pleasant surprise. We came to Gibson Mill to meet a friend and check out the shops. Of course, I wanted to see the food court. They had a nice variety, yet I immediately went to this Thai restaurant as I haven’t seen a lot of Thai places here.
They have a good mix of options, and the prices were good. I got the chicken Pad See Eew. They cooked it fresh in front of me, and it was ready in less than 12 minutes. It was exactly what I needed. The flavors and portion size were on point.

My husband loved the Bangkok chicken wings. We stopped for a quick bite while attending an event in the Gibson Mills Market. Extensive menu, quick service, and the Bangkok wings were flavorful, served hot with delicious peppers and onions in a spicy sauce. It’s a little on the pricey side, but well worth it with the taste. Plus, you’re helping a small business. We will come back!

This was my first experience with this restaurant. I ordered from UberEats and everything arrived quickly and still warm!
The crab rangoons were good but my issue was with the chicken in the red curry. The majority of my pieces of chicken were inedible, completely chewy and not great to have in your mouth most of the pieces looked like the ones in the image.
The flavor of the curry was great but I just couldn’t enjoy it with the inedible chicken, unfortunately.

Thai Esane’s food is awesome. I have picked up food from here 2 times, in two weeks. My kids love their fried rice with Brisket. The owner was very nice. She sat down with us, took pictures and video. I would eat there again.

Amazing service!! Som was so incredible! We had the Pad Thai with Shrimp and Tofu. It’s probably one of the best Pad Thais I’ve had in a long time. I love that it wasn’t too sweet. Can’t wait to go back and try other items.

Got the brisket fried rice and eggs rolls. Both were BOMB. I was amazed the food came out so fast while tasting so fresh. This is my new go to Thai restaurant.

Pad Thainis one of the best I’ve had in Charlotte area. The sauce is perfect, flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I have nothing bad to say about it at all. I love the spice level, which typically has to be adjusted for everyone’s palates, but this was perfect.
The Thai Tea could use some work. It didn’t taste right, it was a bit sour like either it was brewed too long or the tea had gone bad. I should have been more vocal about it but I just let it go and went about my day.
My only wish is that there were more Isaan food options. I was so excited to see that in their name but they offered the basic noodle dishes and apps. People’s palates are opening up and I’m sure they would love to start seeing more different dishes than your typical noodle dishes.
