Love this place! Always good. They had lunch specials on a Saturday for $12. I got the chicken noodle bowl. The satay chicken was delicious as well.

Cozy dining area, family friendly. Food is more heavily sauced than other Thai restaurants we’ve been too, but still has great flavors. I might even come just for dessert too!

The service was good, and the food came fast. I see they have a lot of to go orders which is good. I like the inside decoration with a lot of greens of nature. The food was not bad but salty. Pineapple fried rice was too wet. Highly recommend eggplant tofu dish we ordered 2 in fact. The pad Thai was very salty, the massaman lacked coconut flavor, not sure if this one had it as part of the recipe, in which case, it was a bit thin. Calamari was are decent and so were the veggie rolls. Portions for the papaya salad could be bigger. Over all, 3.5/5 but I’ll round up

The som tam (papaya salad) was delicious! Like being in Thailand again! And the sticky rice went perfectly. Not spicy, but I loved that when I asked for chilli they brought out the containers of red chili paste and the fish sauce with chilis in it – as it should be. Will be back again. The spicy fried rice (again, not really spicy) was also quite good.

Thai Elephant Morro Bay a locals favorite! Food is always PHENOMENAL! Great authentic flavors, with fresh ingredients. The restaurant is small, most clients use the takeout service. For those eating at the restaurant location please take note that there is not much space between tables. Wonderful eatery!

They’re very busy even on weekday evenings, shows how popular this place is. We ordered Spicy Drunked Noodles and Mixed Vegetables with Tofu. Both the dishes were delicious and were customized to be Jain, no Onion no Garlic.

This is literally my favourite and most visited place in SLO county. For real, every single person I brought here enjoys their food and loves their tasteful decorations. This place got authentic Thai flavor upon request (in terms of the use of fish sauce and Thai chili, like that), friendly hosts, a nice patio that suits your family/friend gatherings… You may also consider it your source of ultimate comfort foods 🙂
Thank you (Thai Elephant Atascadero!!) for adding a bright color to my past 3 years of attending Cal Poly. Now that I’ve graduated, I will really be missing this place. Pictures were from our multiple visits over the years, and I have… Probably too many of these.
*STRONGLY RECOMMEND*
*Eggplant, Crispy Duck, Drunken Noodle*
(However, I personally had never had any dish from this restaurant that I didn’t enjoy)

Best Thai food money can buy, spicy noodles are where it’s at. Although I will say the photos when u order online are a little deceptive and the food tastes much better than what the photo shows
