As appetizers, I ordered the crispy egg rolls (X5 pieces) and the fried calamari (X10 pieces). Portions were generous. Both the egg rolls and calamari were tasty and served with sweet and sour sauce. I was initially worried because my first piece of calamari was rubbery but the other 3 pieces I ate were great. I had 3 egg rolls & 6 pieces of calamari left over which will crisp up nice in the air fryer for dinner tomorrow.
As my main dish, I ordered pad see yew with chicken (spicy = 2 / medium). Very generous serving size with leftovers for lunch tomorrow (most likely 2 lunches!). The level 2 spice had warmth but wasn’t hot enough to make my nose run. It was a very flavorful dish. If I had chili paste at the table, I probably would have gotten bolder and added a little more heat by the end of my meal (see below). I have learned, however, to choose the lower of 2 levels of spice when I’m not sure. It’s much easier to add a little more than to enjoy your meal with your mouth on fire!
A spoonful of coconut ice crab was included as dessert. I don’t remember the last time I had ice cream so it was a yummy treat!
Thai Delight offers a lunch menu which I always love and like to know about. I came on a Sunday so the lunch menu was not available so I’ll have to return during the week sometime.
I had a few comments which made my review 4 stars instead of 5:
There are no condiments on the table. I’m sure they would have brought me some but I sometimes like to doctor my food during the meal to play with flavor and heat so I like the condiments at the table (i.e soy sauce, chili paste).
The appetizers were brought at the same time as the pad see yew. Sometimes, when restaurants prepare food very quickly, this happens, but I waited a decent amount of time for my food. I think this could have been timed better.
They charge an extra 3.5% “convenience” fee for credit cards and debit cards. It seems like this is becoming more common, which I find incredibly annoying. Paying the credit card company is YOUR tax deductible cost of doing business as a restaurant! I don’t know the last time I paid with cash and many more people are moving to cashless forms of payment. Everyone’s expenses are going up. I’m providing you with business and I spent a decent amount of money here and I am a generous tipper. I don’t need to be paying for your fees too! I’m starting to keep track so I only go to restaurants who don’t pass yet another cost and INconvenience on to me.
Got the Crab Puffs, Grilled Pork, Thai Fried Rice, and Pad See Ew. All were excellent. Had the Drunken Noodles last time.
The Coconut ice cream is also great! Strong recommend!
Update, we have stuck to our favorites for years but decided to try salads and other dishes. Cashew delight with combination seafood and mango salad are incredible. Sweet and sour chicken is very flavorful. We try different dishes and love all of them. As already stated everything here is amazing!
The place looked brand new, super clean, and with a decent (talking) level music as background that added to the nice ambiance.
If you’re are undecided on appetizers, try the sampler (Thai Delight), it has a little bit of all the signature Thai appetizers to share.
The noodle soup was more than plenty to share and delicious! We had the one with the protein mix.
The papaya salad was very fresh and had a nice spicy kick!
