I am so thankful for this restaurant! I love Thai food, but my favorite place closed down years ago. I’ve been looking for a new place that doesn’t shy away from flavor, and Thai Delicacies has met all my needs and checks all the boxes. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are vibrant, and nothing tastes watered down which signals authenticity. They don’t skimp on the spice, so try your dish at level one the first time to be safe. If you’re looking for delicious, Thai cuisine in a comfortable environment, please try it!

Thai Delicacies!

This place was really good! I got the chicken basil stir fry with a fried egg and husband got the beef rice stir fry. He also ordered a Thai tea, which actually pretty good since I’m very picking whenever he picks out the drinks. But a very fair warning!

And it will say this one their menu too; it is not a fast food place. Food is all fresh and made to order. So please be patient when waiting. Also the spicy level! Just the level one alone had my nose running. I didn’t mind, I love spicy food but definitely don’t underestimate it!

It’s a nice chill place and you can order ahead for take out.

The waitress was super awesome too! And everyone was so kind to her. Overall great food and a positive energy from there.

I visited Thai Delicacies for the first time yesterday and I enjoyed my experience. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. I ordered their Thai tea, which is made in house! It was very hard for me to narrow down what I wanted because literally everything sounded so good. I ended up getting their pork Krapao and added an egg. What I really like about this place is that you can order your food with whatever spice level you’re comfortable with. (0-5 scale) If you’re in West Columbia and craving Thai food, give Thai Delicacies a visit!

If you’re looking for authentic flavors that hit every note perfectly, this is the spot. I stopped in recently and had an incredible experience.
The absolute star of the show was the Tom Yum Goong. It is, hands down, some of the best I’ve ever had. The balance of flavors was masterfully executed—you get that signature hit of spicy and sour right away, followed by the aromatic depth of fresh Lemon and basil.

Tried this place for the first time and we were the only ones dining in, which surprised us because the food was so good I really hope more people discover it because it deserves some love!

I went with my husband and daughter, and we shared everything. We started with the crab rangoon, perfectly crispy and not overly sweet, which I loved Then we had khao soi and pad kee mao. Since our kiddo was sharing, we ordered both with no spice and added heat from the side. They were tasty mild, but once we added some spice… chef’s kiss The khao soi was rich and comforting, and the pad kee mao had great texture and layers of flavor. We finished with mango sticky rice, fresh, lightly sweet, and the perfect ending ✨

Everything was flavorful, portions were generous, and we genuinely enjoyed every dish and will definitely be back

If you are a true Thai food lover we do not recommend this place. We were so excited to try this place but unfortunately this is the worst Thai food we have ever eaten. My food (pad Thai-national dish of Thailand’s) was over sauced, extremely sweet, the shrimp tasted bland and felt like precooked shrimp and the portion small in comparison to every other place I have had pad Thai.
The other plate ordered (red curry) was to salty with thick viscosity lacking balance, missing basil and coconut flavor.
Food was such a disappointment especially for the price.
Additionally, there was no music to soften or mask all the noise and loud chatter from the kitchen (which we could’ve done without). A little music goes a long way.
We eat out often but not returning here.

This place is bangin!! Everything we tried had some real warmth and flavor that we did not expect. This is the pad Thai, and we also got spring rolls and sweet and spicy stir fry. 100% recommend

We drove an hour to try this place, and I was super excited, having lived in Thailand for a quite a few years, and miss the food A LOT.

My husband’s basil fried rice was quite good. My khao soi was not khao soi, sadly (although it did taste good). I wanted to get some background from the waitress, but she responded, “Well, I’m not Thai, so I don’t know the difference. I just work here”.

Honestly, not the best customer service response on any level.

SO SO GOOD. We got spice level 0 on papaya salad (I like it to be refreshing alongside spicy food), spice level 1 on pad Thai, and spice level 2 on the pork belly stir fry. We went low because we saw reviews it was so spicy and we wanted to gauge for our taste level. We should have gotten 4! Maybe the owner is lowering spice level because of bad reviews? But she shouldn’t! The food is so delicious, and you are clearly warned that the food is spicy, maybe even spicier than you expect. Thai food *should* be spicy, and if you don’t like heat I don’t know why you would order Thai. Anyways, we’ll definitely be back. The mango shake is fantastic too. Not too sweet! So refreshing. Service was great as well, the supervisor of the front came to speak to us and she was lovely.

My wife and I ate here twice in a row and the food was amazing each time! They are doing great to have just opened a short time ago.

I had Pad Krapao Gai and a Thai tea the first time (my wife got Sweet Soy fried rice) and Pad Woon Sen with pork and mango sticky rice the second time. Pad Woon Sen is one of my top favorite Thai dishes and this did not disappoint! I loved it all. I love spicy food so I get the highest level of spice they offer (level 5). They are really reasonably priced and offer large portions.

The staff are so nice and attentive. They really want to make sure you’re enjoying your food.

Now.. these are authentic Thai dishes (the owners grew up in Thailand) and Thai food is spicy. The wait staff will tell you CLEARLY that the food is typically spicier than most places (it is also plainly written in the menu). If you don’t like spicy food or if pepper is too spicy for your weak taste buds, ask them to make it less spicy or not spicy at all. Do not take it out on the wait staff or the chefs making the food if you can’t handle the heat. That’s your issue, not theirs. Don’t be rude.
