Just loved the abundant shrimps, bell papers, carrots, zuccini, lemon grass in all the dishes we enjoyed.
Iced tea was just awesome. Mangoe rice was too delicious.
Could not resist 2nd visit to enjoy steaming hot Yum tum Shrimp soup And banana icecream. The bowl of soup was quite interesting. Of course iced tea was welcome.
We ordered the spicy crispy tofu, rock cod pad see ew and yellow curry noodle soup (not pictured, we were too hungry).
The flavors and spices were just phenomenal.
No joke, that crispy tofu was a clear winner. The sauce, the greens that came with it, the tofu itself had such amazing flavor.
Once that was resolved the service was very efficient and the food came piping hot and quickly .
The lunch menu Pad Thai and the eggplant were offered with a soup , a fried roll and an interesting choice of coconut, brown or white rice with the eggplant dish.
The Thai coffee and tea were excellent, not too sweet and delicious.
Overall, the food tasted yummy and the portions were great for the price.
The only thing is that we got both carb dishes at Spicy level, but it was barely spicy. Maybe there’s a way to ask for extra extra extra spicy next time?
The menu has a wide variety of options. It’s a casual restaurant where the food might not be spectacular but is filling so ideal for a simple meal or take out. Parking available outside the lot which is convenient.
Both the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew lacked any real Thai flavor, and we found ourselves adding lots of hot sauce just to give the dishes some kick. If we hadn’t been so hungry from a long day of moving, we probably wouldn’t have finished the meal. Despite these disappointments, the service of the waitress and staff were tentative and friendly; even with a busy evening.
We eat at Thai spots regularly around the Bay Area, and sadly, this was one of the most disappointing. The ambiance was lovely, but the food needs significant improvement. Of course, everyone’s tastes are different, but based on our experience, we wouldn’t be in a rush to return.
