Me and my girlfriend wanted Thai food last night and we stumbled upon this spot. I love Thai food and make a point to try it in every city I visit, so I had high hopes. The menu turned out to be smaller than I expected and I was surprised to find they only offered two types of noodles. I even asked to be sure and the server confirmed they only had rice noodles and egg noodles.

When I asked which noodle dish he recommended, he suggested the drunken noodle. I think he was trying to play it safe and the dish was good, but it did not really excite me. The presentation was beautiful and the service was genuinely great, so I appreciated that. I just found myself wishing there were more options to explore.

Thai Chili 89 Thai Street Food was a great stop while we were in town. The food was really good, full of flavor, and clearly made fresh.
Service was friendly and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long at all for a table, which was a nice bonus in Breckenridge. Everything came out quickly and hit the spot.
Would definitely come back again and recommend it if you’re craving Thai food while in the area.

Quite a nice place. Expensive compared to other places around it, but I enjoyed what I had (though I would have liked more of the chili sauce). The egg was cooked very well, and the rice was especially good.

Hubby and I stumble upon this Thai street food joint while looking for comfort food in Breck, so we decided to give it a shot. It’s not a big place but cute in its own way.
Our server was nice and recommended the Duck Noodle Soup, I am so glad I went for it. The braised duck was flavorful and tender. Hubby opted for the Crispy Pork Basil with Fried Egg over Rice, it’s tasty and the pork was nicely cooked.
Decent simple eat and we were happy with our find.

I appreciate the effort here, but this place is understaffed. One person was trying to run the entire place, and he was struggling, including cutting his hand and coming to take our order with his hand bloody. The food was all good but not great. We ordered 5 dishes, the drunken noodles were decent but unremarkable. The panang curry was flavorful, but the beef was very chewy and unseasoned. The duck soup had good flavor in the broth, but the duck was flavorless and overcooked. The pork belly chef special was the best meal and overall on point.

Food was okay. Definitely underwhelmed. Had the pad Thai and panang curry. Ordered hot for the pad Thai and the medium curry and the curry was spicier. Pad Thai was kinda dry. Extra sauce would have been great. Also the lime was dry from being in the hot pad Thai container.

I had the Penang curry and it was absolutely delicious. My kids both had that as well. My son’s friend had the drunken noodles and wasn’t a fan.

The taste was pretty good but I ordered a medium hot and this dish had me profusely sweating with an unpleasant toilet experience. Unfortunately wouldn’t eat here again

A Disappointing Experience that ruins my birthday trip

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Thai Chili89 around my birthday , a Thai restaurant with a high rating. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts on why I believe this establishment is not worth your time or money.

Firstly, the Hainanese chicken was a major disappointment. It was neither genuine nor flavorful, leaving me questioning the authenticity of the dish. I would strongly advise against ordering this item.

Secondly, the drunken noodles were another letdown. Despite requesting extra spiciness, the dish arrived with no heat whatsoever. To make matters worse, the server was quite rude and forgetful, neglecting to bring us the side spice we had asked for.

The curry also left much to be desired, as it was easily the worst Thai curry I have ever had. The dish lacked the rich flavors one would expect from a traditional Thai curry, ultimately resulting in a bland and forgettable experience.

Dessert was no better, with the black sesame pudding tasting both sour and rotten. This was a particularly disappointing end to an already lackluster meal.

In conclusion, I am genuinely baffled by the high ratings and positive reviews. My experience was far from enjoyable, and I would strongly caution against spending your hard-earned money on such a disappointing culinary experience.

We had the pleasure of stopping in here twice. First to grab drinks to go, Thai Tea and Thai Iced Green Tea. The restaurant smelled so good we made plans to go back for dinner.

At dinner we were greeted warmly and recognized from our earlier visit. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. We ordered appetizers and dinner and were not disappointed. My son thoroughly enjoyed his Tofu Panag Curry. The Pad Thai was different from what I’ve previously tried, but it was good. For dessert we tried the black stick rice with coconut. All in all we enjoyed the experience.
