Thai Chef was an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every bite was well-seasoned and authentic, and the portions were very satisfying.
The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the overall atmosphere warm and enjoyable. Service was efficient without feeling rushed, and the restaurant was clean and inviting.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing. The vibe and decor is super vibrant and the energy was really positive, clean and colorful. They had a lunch specials menu but I really wanted to try some specific items so I ordered the Afterschool Wontons- crab stick and crab cheese and they were stuffed to the gills with filling. Crispy and tasty! I also ordered Spicy Grilled Pork Salad and the flavor was out of this world. Fresh lime, chili, fish sauce, onions, cilantro, scallion…it was so delish! I also ordered a Thai iced tea which was also tasty. I can’t wait to visit again and try more items on the menu and maybe stay awhile this time- it was a quick lunch!

I really enjoyed the decor; it’s so cheerful and welcoming. The food itself, however, was just average. For starters, we had an order of Rocket shrimp. Those were very enjoyable with the dipping sauce. My Pad Thai was fine, but the tamarind flavor was a bit overpowering. I also tried the Kapow, which was a nice dish, though I found it to be a bit too tart. The fresh limeade was disappointing, tasting more like a weak lime and club soda mix.

Delicious food and fantastic ambiance! Came here with family to try it out and we were amazed with the bright and eclectic decor. There is something interesting to observe in each corner of the restaurant. The food was fantastic! The pad see ew is a long time favorite of our families and we loved the way it was made here, probably one of our favorite places to have had this dish. The crab fried rice was new to us and was 10/10 amazing as well! Large pieces of crab were served in a well made fried rice, simple yet delicious. The appetizers were all stupendous but the calamari was the table favorite with its crispy freshness and nice dipping sauce. The food was very reasonably priced for the large portions as well! This has become a family favorite location for us. Would recommend to anyone searching for a go to Thai restaurant.

This place is visually pleasing inside and out. Though we ordered food to go—it’s the perfect space for a date. At night, it’s even better.
THE MEAL:
First time eating here and we always try a signature dish to see if it’s authentic or not and test the spice level… here’s our feedback—
Food is good, they cook traditional, not watered down to cater to a crowd that can’t take spice/seasoning. We values and appreciate cultures staying true to their roots. If you are seeking a real* Thai experience.. YOU FOUND IT.

Beautiful ambience, great service but mind you+ the food here is very average. If you’re leaning towards service you might want to give this place a shot but there are a lot better places for thai around Rockville.
Twc wings were extremely disapponting- the restaurant definitely needs to work on this or make it creative. There is nothing special or different about this dish. Wings at a gas station would taste better compared to the ones here. Mocktails are good but otherwise taste needs to be worked on a serious note!

Loved the atmosphere of the space, felt like I was in another country. Some of the decorations reminded me of the Papermoon Diner in Baltimore.
I felt the price was kind of high for what I got, 19$ for 4 fried shrimp and some jazzed up rice. My first time having Thai food so I have nothing to compare it to. My meal was good, I did not think it was peppery like the name of the dish said but I liked the meal.
Food came out quick, servers were attentive. Wish they carried Coca Cola, asked for a Coke and was given a Pepsi. Fountain soda was crisp though.
Looks like a nice bar with a nice cocktail menu, I can’t partake on my lunch break but if I lived down here I’d explore more of the menu.

I recommend it is one of the best Thai restaurants in my town. Thai Chef Rockville is located at Rockville Town Square, MD. I always enjoy everything from them. Food is so delicious, authentic taste and good quality, service is excellent and restaurant decoration and atmosphere are outstanding.
I have been there many times and never feel upset what I got. My one favorite dish here is Tom Yum Fried Rice, so real Thai street food dish that is not easy to get from others Thai restaurants around my area. Anyway I like all their foods I tried so far. The menu has many choices from standard well-known Thai food to street vendors that some of them are different and unique. This place is so huge (there are 2nd floor and outdoor seating but not available now), and comfortable – nice place for meeting or party with family or friends. (They also serving up cocktails bar)
PS. One cons of this place is no free parking close to restaurant, very limited parking meter spots, but at least there is a large garage building available near by.
