Storytime from 15 minutes ago

Night before Thanksgiving, party of 8 people, we get there late and they still kindly accomodate us.

The lady who took our orders and served us was very kind and welcoming.

The food was absolutely delicious. We dropped by last year and the year before and the quality is consistent.

Stop by and enjoy food that takes you on vacation!

If there was a decimal ranking, it’d give it a 4.5 out of 5, but this place is great and recommend it.

Between in person & takeout, have probably been there 15-20 times the past year and they are consistently good/very good.
One time they made a mistake (simple one) on order for takeout and they refunded it with a replacement meal

Service is friendly and wait time is reasonable. Have had the fried rice, pad Thai and panang curry and it’s all good/very good.

I have been a loyal customer of Thai Café for many years and have always appreciated their food and service. Unfortunately, my recent experience with a catering order of nearly $300 was extremely disappointing. I ordered two small trays of crab and chicken fried rice, along with other entrées, for a small gathering of friends.
When we sat down to eat around 9 p.m., we found that both trays of fried rice were stale, sticky, and had an unpleasant odor, making them completely inedible. Since it was too late to address the issue that evening, we set the trays aside and ate only the other dishes provided.
The following day, I contacted the restaurant to request a refund for the two trays we could not eat, as well as compensation for the inconvenience and the embarrassment caused at my gathering. Unfortunately, the manager was not helpful and instead blamed me for picking up the order an hour later than planned. While I understand that timing can affect freshness, food should never have been provided in such a spoiled condition. Even if I had picked up the order at the original time, we would still have eaten the food at the same hour, so the delay in pickup does not explain the state of the dishes
This experience has made me question the quality of customer service I previously believed I was receiving. It now seems that the positive treatment may have been because I was a regular customer, rather than a true commitment to good service. The moment an issue arose, the restaurant failed to take accountability, which was deeply disappointing.
In my opinion, Thai Café can still be a reasonable option for dining in or small take-out orders, especially given the limited choices in the AV. However, I would strongly caution anyone considering large catering orders, as the restaurant appears to lack both the expertise to handle them properly and the professionalism to take accountability when issues arise.”
Adding a picture of the food beforee it was thrown.

Very good place have been coming here for years. Always good consistency in the food the orange chicken is always amazing and the tapioca is fire fire fire. Good clean place good atmosphere and decorations. Good staff very attentive to your order. Also the rice crispy soup is delicious. Hidden gem for sure!! :).

After a game of softball, we swung by Thai Cafe for dinner to celebrate our victory. I’ve been to this spot a handful of times, and they normally don’t disappoint. This time, I had the Trip to Thailand, which comes with pad Thai noodles, Thai chicken BBQ, chicken red curry, and a side of white rice—delicious! The service was great, and the ambiance is usually quite calm, not noisy, which I appreciate. However, they charge $6 to swap the white rice for fried rice, which I think is a little high. Instead, I ordered a separate side of fried rice for $12 and got a larger portion. Unfortunately, the fried rice lacked flavor and missed the mark for me. On the bright side, they offered us tapioca pudding at the end of the meal, and it was the perfect treat for my sweet tooth. Overall, a solid experience.

I love the food here. And I usually come in and sit right down today. It was really busy. They only had two people. I stood at the front waiting to be seated for quite some time, but decided to leave and come back another time because there was nobody helping the people sitting ready to pay and leave or clean tables. they were very short-staffed. Definitely an amazing place to eat. If you have a lot of time. would highly recommend more staff to help move things in a faster direction to avoid losing customers.

I was unpleasantly surprised by the price. The sticky mango rice cost $16.00! Yikes! Service was good and food very tasty.

For more than a decade I’ve been going here and they had the best Thai food in the AV. But something changed about 2 years ago. Now the curries are watery and lack the great flavor they used to have. When I asked about it the employee told me that I have to say that I want the curries “thick” Not sure why I have to ask for that since every restaurant I’ve ever been to makes the sauce thicker than water. So I did and it was slightly better. Then I got the watery one again. So yesterday I ordered 3 curries and clearly said I was told to ask for them thick. I got water again. I tried about 6 times to stay with this business. Now I have to go elsewhere. Too bad because it was the best by a lot.
