It’s a small-town spot with limited options, and it’s at least run/cooked by Thai staff. Prices felt high for the area. The Beef Pho Noodle was disappointing and didn’t compare to real Vietnamese pho (1/5). The basil dish was okay but a bit watery and fairly plain (3/5).

Great little Thai restaurant. Authentic too, I’ve been in Thailand many times and this is close to what you would get there. Will be back for sure!

This place is a real gem and a wonderful surprise. It hit the spot on a cold day starting off with some Thai soup. The flavors were amazing. My wife and I both got a different noodle dish and we each were very impressed with the tender protein, the crunchy vegetables and the flavorful noodles with sauce. It is a lovely little environment that feels cozy and they have nice soft music playing in the background. We will definitely be coming back!

We went in for lunch on 01/06/25. We found street parking in front of the restaurant. Place is small but decent. We ordered fried wanton and shrimp dumplings and they were nice. For entrees, we ordered chicken fried rice and sautéed chicken and vegetables with garlic. Unfortunately, both entrees we extremely salty. We informed the lady but she said that is how they make their food. No apology or empathy at a minimum. We had to leave our food after paying over $45. I will surely not go back ever .

The lady that has been running this little cafe for years has done a fantastic job. This is one of my wife’s favorite places to eat in town. The recipes seem very traditional and taste great, I’ve tried many of them. I definitely respect the spice levels indicated on the menu for each dish as she doesn’t mess around! You’re probably not going to get some elaborate greeting and you might think she is a little rude…. But I’ve come to learn that’s just who she is so don’t take it personal. I did appreciate the days they had the young waitress (I’m assuming family member), but she does honestly great for cooking and serving all tables herself. Great place for carryout! She will also allow you to bring your own alcohol in to drink with dinner as she doesn’t serve any.

Hadn’t been there in a while so I dropped in for lunch! Got a table right away. Service was great and the food was very tasty! I had the beef cashew and spring rolls, very good! Great price also! I’ll go back again soon!

This restaurant has been serving great food for many years…from crab Rangoon to chicken pad Thai to their spring rolls and chicken fried rice with pineapple…everything is delicious! Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Ottawa, IL, is lucky to still have this gem!

It was not crowded when I arrived so I could choose where to sit. There is street parking nearby. My meal was underwhelming. I ordered the pad see ewe with extra broccoli. Normally pad see ewe noodles are thicker and chewier than pad Thai noodles, but my dish had pad Thai noodles. There was not much flavor but there was A LOT of black pepper dumped on top. I could see it and removed noodles with it because all I could taste was black pepper.

Pricey place with small portions. Taste was not bad. I do not expect french cuisine portions in a Thai restaurant.
We were 5 of us and the young girl didn’t acknowledge us. She was sitting at a table busy with her laptop.
I noticed though she was more attentive to other guests.
Vegetarian duck is awful. Pad thai was ok.
My spicy noodles were thankfully not sweet. And I wished for more veggies in our dishes.

Fresh spring roll was good.

I think they have increased from my last visit and have reduced the portion sizes as well. They were definitely not dinner size.
Oh well I tried!!!
