5 star fabulous! Excellent food and service. Made a late evening, last minute choice for Thai and wound up discovering this jewel. Really, you will not be disappointed. I had the catch of the day “whole Snapper” with Thai level heat. It was awesome. My wife had “Pumpkin Curry” with beef. It was delicious.

Authentic, delicious Thai food. Excellent and super quick service. We ordered the fresh rolls with chicken, red curry with chicken, and “Amazing” sautéed plate with chicken. Everything tasted great and fresh. I kid you not, we probably only waited 10 minutes for our food. I was pleasantly surprised! Spice level was just right. The restaurant was impeccably clean and I could see a little bit into the kitchen, which was very clean and organized as well (always a good sign!). Would definitely come back here again. Also, the rice was served in a heart shape which was so cute.

Best Drunken Noodles I’ve ever had. I had work in the area and ate lunch there every day. I had the drunken noodles, red curry, pad kra prow, and volcano. Each time, they served a soup de jour, and they were all excellent. Select your spiciness from mild to Thai hot. The staff is attentive and courteous. The vegetables are super fresh and high quality. It was my coworker’s first experience with Thai food, and she was very much in love with her meal. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.

In searching for a gluten-free, or gluten friendly, place we found the Thai Bistro… We got to say chicken, fresh rolls, amazing saute with tofu with tofu and pad Thai with chicken. Everything was absolutely fantastic.

I had never heard of the amazing saute But it was coconut and peanut sauce with broccoli and your choice of protein. Absolutely delicious! We are huge fans of this place! They will definitely get repeat business from us!

I should have stopped to take a photo but I was so hungry I did not! Needless to say nothing was left!

INSANE, insane rip off! This place used to be great, but wow they have gotten bad on their portions… complete rip off… a $22 Tofu plate, they gave us 7 small pieces… and then we complained and the owner brought TWO single pieces of tofu to add. Absolutely crazy. Then got loud and aggressive when we said we would like to send the food back.

When you grouped the tofu together, it wasn’t enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

My first experience with Thai Bistro was trying to order online but the site kept telling me something was wrong. No worries, I called in my order for pickup as I literally live within a 5 minute drive. My order was read back to me on the phone and all was good. I arrived a few minutes before the food was ready which was perfect because that meant everything will be hot when I got home.

I ordered for 4. Two curry dishes, two drunk noodle dishes, and three apps. One of the curry dishes was ordered with a hot spice level. The other three were medium spice. None of the three medium had any discernible level of spice added other than I could see a few black specks I took to possibly be a black pepper. The hot spice curry dish had a low level of spice added.

In addition to the disappointing spice level, it was noted that the two drunk noodle dishes lacked a sufficient amount of vegetables. And while the dishes were hot enough, hotter than warm but not by much, one drunk noodle dish was supposed to include chicken with an additional pork added. It only included pork.

One of the apps was Steamed dumplings and looked unusual and tasty. I have never seen dumplings like these. Served with a plumb sauce, I looked forward to trying one. It was barely above room temperature. We could have heated them in our microwave so not a big deal but still disappointing. We did not finish them.

Another app was deep fried wontons. Again, not hot. Just warm. They lacked flavor beyond the fried portion and some were left uneaten as well. It was as if the apps were prepared first and left waiting for the entrees to be made.

Other than the spice level of the curry dishes, the only other disappointment was that the sauce was too watery and not thick enough compared to other favored restaurants.

I was looking forward to having a great Thai meal so close to home. Having read the reviews I was certain this would be the spot. I hope this was a one off bad experience and not normal.

Prices are very high for first, the amount of food you get, and second, the atmosphere. It’s a fine little restaurant, but for a $20 dish, you shouldn’t leave hungry… it’s like they try to load up on the cheap stuff, rice, noodles, etc.. but are extremely stingy with the proteins… like laughable small amount… I thought I was borderline on a prank show. Avoid if you like getting value for your money. It tastes fine, but getting ripped off never tastes good.

I’ve been coming here for most of their twenty years in business. Happy anniversary! Great Thai food, really nice selection i’d say they have a large selection of delicious food and some really good desserts too. I especially like the Beef Noodle soup not a lot of Thai restaurants offer this item. I lived in Thailand for two years and loved and lived on this soup it was from a cart in Thailand. I must say I love it from this place too! It comes pre spiced but I like to add more, one of the dishes that can be really spicy and hot too, and I like it that way. I’ll be there again tomorrow specifically for the Noodle Soup, it’s great.

While in a medical office, the employees overheard us talking about Thai Bistro for lunch and vouched that this place is the best in the whole town for Thai food. We loved everything that we got. Thai tea wasn’t too sweet or heavy from the cream, calamari was lightly fried yet really crispy, and both entrees just delectable! I had never had soft shell crab in a curry before, but it was delightful, and I was surprised to see a big piece of it underneath the veggies. Husband had enough of his pad thai to take home for dinner and enjoy it again that same night. It was so good that he said he wouldn’t mind driving far-ish to come back.

Our dining experience at Thai Bistro in Venice, Florida, was a delightful one, albeit with minor room for improvement.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, the staff greeted us with warm smiles, setting a positive tone for the rest of the evening. The service was friendly, efficient, and prompt, showing a keen commitment to customer satisfaction. Our orders were taken quickly, and the food arrived within a reasonable timeframe, allowing us to savor our meal without unnecessary delays.

The food itself was flavorful, a showcase of Thai culinary artistry. However, there was one significant concern – the spice level. I had ordered my dish “Thai hot”, anticipating the bold, fiery flavors synonymous with Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, the spice level fell short of my expectations, leaning more toward mild than hot.

When I brought this to our waitress’s attention, her solution was to provide a spice tray rather than offering to adjust the dish in the kitchen. While I appreciated her prompt response, I couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed by the lack of engagement in resolving the issue to my satisfaction.

Despite this minor setback, I must say that the overall dining experience was enjoyable. The ambiance was pleasant, and the remainder of the meal was delightful. This bistro undoubtedly offers a little piece of Thailand right here in Venice, Florida.

I am leaving a four-star review in the hope that Thai Bistro takes this constructive feedback into consideration and makes the necessary adjustments to ensure the ‘Thai hot’ indeed reflects the rich and fiery flavors we all love about Thai cuisine.

Thai Bistro remains a good choice for Thai food lovers, and I look forward to our next visit, hopeful for an even better experience.
