Great Thai BBQ spot in Petaluma for a relaxed, flavorful meal.

First visit and we really enjoyed it. The meats were super tender, well seasoned, and nicely grilled. The chicken satay was a highlight, and the crispy tofu had fantastic texture with perfectly crunchy edges. The Tom Kha soup was bright, comforting, and full of fresh vegetables and tender chicken. The BBQ platter is a great choice for sharing and trying a variety of flavors.

Service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt casual and comfortable without feeling rushed.

Not the kind of place claiming fine-dining greatness, but genuinely tasty food done well and exactly the sort of neighborhood restaurant you’ll want to return to. We definitely will be back.

Delicious! I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice and added shrimp. The shrimp was perfectly done and fresh! The pineapple was tasty and seemed freshly cut. The rest of the ingredients jelled together to make the best Thai dish I’ve had. Price was on point and the dining area was nice. Extremely happy with the experience.

Best chicken salad I’ve ever had!
Great location, only problem was doors left open, the flies are everywhere.

First time dining here, not fancy just few tables inside and few picnic tables outside. Saw lots of takeout orders being done.
Ordered
Veggie Crispy Rolls – $8
Silver noodle, cabbage, shiitake mushroom, taro, carrots with sweet & sour plum dipping sauce.
Rolls were crispy and taste was good, not sure if sauce was house made.
Chicken Satay – $10
Grill on skewers marinated chicken in spices and Thai curry powder, served with peanut sauce and fresh tangy cucumber salad.
Chicken was tender and really liked the cucumber salad, thought the sauce was ok, unfortunately not best I’ve tasted.
Pad Thai – $17
Wok-fried fresh rice noodle, tofu, egg, bean sprouts, chives & crushed peanuts.
Opted to not add meat or additional tofu since it already comes with it. Liked flavor, could have used more chives/green onions and crushed peanuts, seemed a bit dry but liked it overall.
Spicy Basil – Chicken $17
Fresh chili, garlic, bell peppers and basil leaves served with fried egg and choice of steam rice, fried rice, or sticky rice.
Ground chicken stir-fried with fried rice, peppers, basil, eggplant and a fried egg. Taste was good.
Thai BBQ is worth a try, tastes differ from person to person, the staff is friendly and nice.

Spot is tiny, so it can easily be missed. Free parking is shared throughout the entire plaza.

Seating is available both inside and outside. It wasn’t busy when I came to dine-in, so I was taken care of pretty quickly. Another group came after me but sat outside and was served water. I never got water, I think it was because I had a water bottle with me.

Ordered chicken satay with a side of rice and cucumber salad, which I recommend for anyone to try. I was disappointed with the papaya salad. It came out too salty (too much fish sauce) and wasn’t enjoyable to eat, so I didn’t touch it for the most part. When someone came to check up on my food, I mentioned the papaya salad, and he apologized and asked if there’s anything I would like, so I just asked for more of the cucumber salad.

It was a good thing I didn’t order the full sized portion of the papaya salad, or that would’ve been a waste. Still paid for it, too.

I’m so sad I don’t have images to upload but each time I go I am so hungry that I forget to take photos. The bbq is so fresh and flavorful. The tom kum soup is so rich and full of yummy vegetables. The noodle choices are cooked just right! The spice is really present, so a medium for me is too hot. I just forego the spice and use a little chili paste to my liking. The curries are all warm and delicious. My favorite is the yellow and the pumpkin. The staff is always welcoming and warm.

It’s more of a fast food thai restaurant. You order via QR code on the table or at the counter. You sit and they bring the order to you.
Inside had about 4 tables. Outside seating on the patio were more. Nice vibe.

Pad see ew had a very bbq smoky flavor. Nice to see it with different veggies than normal. It had mushrooms.
Papaya salad had a bit too much fish sauce. I would recommend to get the dressing on the side.
Yellow curry was great. It had taro and potato carrots.
Chicken satay was typical flavorful.

While reading the reviews is noted that this is the Sonoma branch of a successful SF main restaurant. I hope I get to try the SF restaurant in the future since we really enjoyed our meal in Petaluma. Visiting from our of town and we don’t have good Thai food from our neck of the woods. Service was prompt and polite. The indoor area is a bit claustrophobic since customers have to walk through to order at the counter in the back. Great food, but be warned that the food is spicy. We ordered medium which is fine at many restaurants but here it meant hot so I think hot here would be volcanic but probably not atomic. Sticky rice and green papaya salad in addition to the BBQ was delicious and I got my mango with sticky rice fix! Definitely recommend.
