What an amazing restaurant! We’ve been wanting to try it out for a while now and I am so glad we finally did! The food was authentic, very delicious and super fresh! We’ve tried the Thai Calamari, Sweetcorn Fritters, Duck and lychee curry with sticky rice and the Khao Soi and everything was absolutely amazing. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, we will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for traditional Thai food, look no further than Thai Basil. Hubby and I went out for date night and we sure glad we did. We were greeted at the door and taken to our seats.
We ordered a few starters and mains. The massaman curry lamb was divine. The meat was tender and the potatoes brought a beautiful touch and jt was paired well with the coconut curry sauce. My husband had the chicken pad thai. I had the prawn Khee Mao. The noodles were sticky and a bit on the rubbery side. It was well flavored however. We don’t normally order dessert but this mango sorbet was beyond delicious.

We had an amazing experience at Thai Basil in Ashford! The food was top-notch—flavorful and authentic. We tried the Goong yai chu chi and Thai Green Curry, and both were delicious, with just the right balance of spices. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The portions are generous, and prices are reasonable for the quality. Definitely a must-visit for anyone craving great Thai food. We’ll be back soon!

2 visits for takeaway, neither on busy weekend nights. 1st time was handed the wrong takeaway completely, which I only realised when I got home. No answer in the phone so ended waiting for new one. 2 hours total for one meal. Ok, occasionally mistakes are made, and the food was pretty good when we got it.
2nd time, my wife was making the order, she’s gluten allergic, needs gluten free. Was told on the phone they’d make something special for her. Got it home, labeled gluten free and chock full of … egg noodles. Which are made with gluten. Phoned to query and was told the chef didn’t know whether they were gluten free or not. Well dont use them then, especially when you could make someone quite seriously unwell. Fortunately my wife was on the ball otherwise we would have had a problem. Then took four separate phone calls just to get a refund issued.
Won’t be going back.

Visited for the first time. The food was excellent, tasty and plentiful. We ordered dumplings and sweetcorn fritters to start, followed by a beef rendang and prawn red curry, we chose special fried rice and vegetable noodles. We just found enough room to share banana fritters with ice cream. The cocktails were very good value, the service was great. Overall we would definitely recommend it, can’t wait to visit again.

Made a little detour from the Outlet to try this Thai restaurant with positive reviews and did not disappoint! Generous portions, excellent quality and service. Bonus: they serve Thai milk tea and great cocktails!

Visited on a whim as a small group, didn’t expect much and was blown away by this location. The atmosphere inside was cozy and welcoming with lovely decor and plenty of space, the staff were friendly and the food came quickly.
We ordered the starter platter to share and everything on it was delicious, the mains came almost as soon as the starter was cleared away and we all found them delicious with generous servings enough so that not everyone was able to clear their plate despite the quality of the food.
The spice level was good, my main had a two chilli rating and had a pleasant heat that steadily built over the meal, but one member of our group who doesn’t handle spice well was able to find and order something he enjoyed.
There is plenty of parking, along with a small 8 car parking lot directly outside the restaurant.
Price wise it was surprisingly cheap given the quality of the meal, if we hadn’t had starters we could easily have eaten for under £20 a head, less than some fast food places these days.
This is certainly a hidden gem I have no hesitation in recommending and will be visiting again in the future.

Tried two new dishes, both red curry base one with duck, the other chicken. The flavours were amazing, really impressed. Starters I recommend the fish and squid lollipop in sweet and sour sauce.
For dessert, tried the coconut, machan and taro ice cream. The taro to my surprise was the best.

This is a little gem and definitely the best Thai food in Canterbury and Ashford.
The restaurant was really quiet when I visited and so I can’t really say it has an atmosphere, but the decor is nice, modern and tastefully done.
I ordered from the lunchtime menu which is great value for money, especially as you get a starter and rice included.
All in all a great place and I will definitely be going back in the very near future.
