We came here for dinner and it was wonderful! My wife is a Vegan and gluten free and they had plenty of tasty options for her. I got one of the fried rice dishes and the cheese rolls for an appetizer and everything was on point! Will definitely be coming back when we are off this way

Nearly 15 years ago, a talented chef named Raj decided to bring his style of Thai cooking to Sevierville Tennessee. He was determined to bring a genuine Thai cuisine to folks who were familiar with the delicious dishes from a far off land and the folks who would discover his lunch and dinner specialties.
Raj found a quaint location snuggled off the Winfield Dunn Parkway that offered him plenty of parking among a small strip
of businesses. He put together a great staff and a varied menu.
He vowed to offer his diners numerous choices that could be customized to their liking. All entrees (except some seafood) come with your choice of beef, chicken, pork, tofu, extra vegetables, or added shrimp and other proteins. He tries to offer balanced meals, while allowing you to choose the heat. Mild, Medium, Hot, and very Thai Hot. There is also many vegan choices.
Thai Basil has special hours from 11AM until 3PM, at that point they close for all the employees to enjoy lunch, and reopen at 4:30 till closing for dinner.
I stopped in with the Mrs, for lunch and found many great affordable specials. I returned a week or so later for dinner where I had the Spicy Squid & Shrimp. My wife had Chicken & Shrimp Pad Thai. The portions are large so you get to have the leftovers the next day. We also had an appetizer combo of deep fried spring rolls and fried pot stickers. The fried Calamari is also excellent. There are many other spring roll appetizers and a house sampler.
Soups include lemongrass Tom Yum, Coconut Tom Kha, Shrimp Wonton and Tofu & Spinach soup. Entrees include many Noodle choices, Fried Rice choices, Seafood, Lots of Stir Fry offerings, Thai Curry and Salads. Desserts and inexpensive Kids Meals round out the menu.
Now is the perfect time to discover this gem of a restaurant. You’ll love the choices and wonderful Thai flavors. Oh, and before you go home let Raj know you had a great time. It’ll make his day.

I had came here after a doordash call that’s been months ago and they waited till I got here but I got some Lemongrass Tom Yum Soup and chicken fried rice. Excellent! I don’t believe I had given them a review then but I am now. Today I got the Coconut Soup Tom Kha and Pineapple Fried Rice. All was excellent! Now I said to the cashier that I thought it was a little expensive. The pineapple fried rice was $17.99 The soup was $6.99 but you get a big portion so I’m going to give them five stars because it is good more than good… I just need to probably come during lunch lol!

The Basil fried rice was delicious, The Kee Mao was different from how we are used to getting it at most other thai restaurants we’ve gone to but it was still good. The spring rolls and the sauce that came with them was very good, and the prices/portion was good. I wouldn’t recommend their green tea though, had very little flavor no matter how long it sat in the hot water (tried it several times after 2 min 5 min, etc)

Thai Basil in Sevierville delivered a strong food-only experience through DoorDash—enough that I’m making a note to order again. The standout was the cream cheese crab meat rolls. Not your typical rangoon. These were more substantial, almost egg roll-style, and packed with flavor. I honestly prefer them to the usual dumpling-wrapped versions. Going forward, everything else is going to feel like a step down.

The Thai dumplings surprised me too. Instead of the expected soft, airy filling, these were dense, meaty, almost like seasoned meatballs wrapped in a dumpling shell. Hearty and satisfying.

Drunken noodles were solid, great flavor and texture—but let’s talk spice. I ordered Thai hot. What arrived was closer to a mild-medium by Thai standards, maybe even American medium. If you like real heat, make it known. Say it more than once.

Fried rice was well done. Other rolls were solid. The house sweet and sour sauce? Clearly homemade. Bright, tangy, fresh—no syrupy bottled shortcut. Real care in the details.

Great local restaurant among the many chains that Sevierville offers.
I ordered the rainbow fried rice and wife ordered the drunken noodles. Both came out quick and the spice level was spot on.
Ingredients were fresh and the portion size was solid!
Can’t wait to go back and try some.of the other items on the menu.

The food was AMAZING! I went at a busy time and got the last available table. It was a small place but appeared well loved by locals and tourists alike! The service was good. The food was so good I forgot to take more pics lol.

I highly recommend the mango sticky rice for a perfectly balanced dessert!
The steamed dumplings were just right and the sauce was highly sophisticated in flavor for a small restaurant!
And of course I’m partial to pad Thai anyway but it was very good!

I highly recommend when you’re not in a hurry and want to just enjoy some good authentic food!

It’s been a while since I’ve eaten Thai food. But this was worth it. Had dinner with Chicken Satay and Pineapple Rice. The service was friendly, prompt, and professional. The atmosphere is a strip mall, but I didn’t come for the atmosphere. A local friend eats here regularly, so I gave it a shot. Glad I did!

Excellent Thai food! Highly recommend. It’s been hard to find good Thai food locally and this place does not disappoint. We had the Tom Ka soup which was creamy and tasty. Drunken Noodles w/Chicken medium spicy and Panaang Beef Med. Spicy. All were flavorful and very well made. Panaang is my barometer whichever Thai food restaurant I go to and if they can conquer that I’m sold! Thai Basil’s food was spot on!
