Journey to the streets of Chiang Mai, Thailand when you come here to taste my favorite Thai dish that you will find in basically 0% of Thai restaurants here in the US.

**I am so ecstatic that Thai Aroi makes the incredibly unique and flavorful Northern Thai Sausage (“Sai Ua” in thai)**

It is smoky, salty, spicy, herbaceous pork perfection 🙂 It is grilled pork sausage thats stuffed full of aromatic herbs and spices such as lemongrass, garlic, galangal (root in the ginger family), kaffir lime leaves, and chili paste. It is sooo unbelievably good – I guarantee it will leave lasting memories of happiness on your tastebuds and palate.

Its served with a bunch of accoutrements, including cucumber slices, lettuce leaves, pork rinds, sticky rice, cilantro leaves & a spicy Thai roasted green chili dip known as Nam Prik Noom. The perfectly composed bite (pictured) includes spreading the chili dip on a slice of cucumber or piece of lettuce, then topping with with a slice of the sausage & placing a piece of pork rind and cilantro on top and then taking the most flavorful bite of food you will ever experience in your life haha. The dish is spicy, so I always chase it with a bite of sticky rice to cool down the fiery punch of the dish.

I keep telling myself to try other dishes, but I always end up getting the Northern Thai Sausage because that is how amazing it is (and also why I am posting multiple pictures of it lol). I have also tried the fish cakes (“Tod Mun Pla” in thai) and Curry Puffs (“Karipap” in thai). I’m a big fan of fish cakes and it was exploding with flavor and crunch from the red curry paste, kaffir lime leaves and the diced long beans, 10/10. The curry puff was also very delicious and its packed with potatoes, minced meat and curry powder. The flaky, buttery crust of the puff was so rich yet delicate at the same time – those are they perfect appetizers to start your culinary journey through Thailand at this amazing place!

The service here is impeccable, and the lady at the front is very kind and hardworking. Please support this local business as they are making some of the most fresh & authentic Thai dishes in the area! While it is just a food stall inside of a grocery store, there is a very nice food court on the other side of the store where you can take your food to dine in – simple as that!

This Thai food stall inside of the Lotte Shopping Center is delicious & tasty (“Aroi” in Thai) in every sense of the word, definitely stop by to try it!!!

This place has very authentic Thai food , I tried their stir fried basil ckn with fried egg, it was very tasty, it tasted like Thai flavor ! And their Thai tea is very good too! You will have to hike to the other end of Lotte to sit down and eat your meal, this is more like a to-go counter. Perfect to grab and go quick meals.

Love, love, love this hidden gem! Their Thai papaya salad, fried bananas, and Thai milk tea are all amazing. They had stopped serving their green Thai milk tea, but when I asked the owner about it, she told me they didn’t have it anymore. The next time I came in, she happily shared that it was back on the menu! The owner is super sweet, and the food is always fantastic. Definitely a must-try spot!

REALLY SAD to have learned this place is no longer in business. This has quickly become our favorite thai food joint and since discovering it, have ordered 3 times the past month. I hope the owner sees this and knows just how much her food is appreciated, and we really hope she’ll be able to continue her cooking elsewhere!

There’s no one in front at the counter, so you can’t ask for recommendations or anything. When ordering, we felt like they were rushing us, but the food was good. It’s seasoned well but a bit pricey considering that it’s a stall in a grocery (no sitting area) compared to a proper dine in restaurant.

This has been my go-to Thai place for the past couple years and it truly broke my heart after learning they are no longer in business. The owner was so sweet and it always brightened my day getting to see her everytime I visited. I hope the owner understands how much my mom and I loved her restaurant! Hope there are opportunities to try your food in the future.

Tasty thai food. They cook to order so are a bit slow. I recommend ordering before you shop and come back in a while to pick up. The sit-down area is across the market on the other side.

The shop has only a a takeout counter but there is seating on the opposite side of the store if needed. I tried the Thai fried rice and the Kapow gai kai. Both were delicious.

Filling the previous closed Thai (ish) stand is the new Southeast Asian newcomer Thai Aroi.

Ordered Thai Som Tom papaya salad and verdict is that more items need to be sampled to reach a more accurate opinion review. This Thai Som Yom was very plain and not spicy at all….. Wasn’t sure if I could request a spice level. But I’m hopeful since there is Lao Som Tom also distinctly offered on the menu. So interim low rating for now. More to come in future.
