I paid extra to be first, so no excuse of it sitting in car annd not being fresh.
I ordered the my favorite soup Tom Kha Kai & I was craving a Thai beef salad (yum nua) which I and they had a Bogo on Panang curry, so I got one for me and one for my son who has been wanting to try the Panang bcuz he always orders red curry. I have to say, I’m not even going to give him that bcuz it’ll give him a bad impression of that curry forever.
Let’s start with the beef salad if you can call it that since it literally had two pieces of lettuce. I can understand not using filet mignon, but this is a meat dish and the meat was very low quality & disgusting. There was no flavor and I was so tempted to post a picture of the chewed up meat pile that I had to spit out but don’t want to gross anyone out, but it was that kind of meat. The kind you chew and have to spit out. & Yes, I got mild, but there was no spice and no flavor at all. mild means very little spice – not no spice & the salad is meant to be bright and flavorful with lime flavor, but I barely tasted lime at all and squeezed 2 of my own limes on it and sprinkled red pepper flakes, but it was still gross. I barely put a dent in it and it also only had a few tomato wedges and cucumber chunks. Not at all like the veggie plentiful pile you would expect from this dish.
The soup was not the greatest, but tasty enough.
I would, unfortunately, not order from this restaurant again, bcuz their curry was just sad. The first sip = SUGAR. It’s so sweet and not in a good way. Also, I got medium and there’s zero spice at all. Seriously – none. The 2nd bowl had spice, so perhaps my spice was forgotten.
It didn’t taste anything like a Panang curry. No depth of flavor. I usually can’t help myself eating these curry’s, but I had one bite and another just out of pure shock. Not good.
I don’t know if they’re batching these out for their Bogo today, but as a restaurant – you should always keep in mind that this might a a customers very first impression of your food and it tasted nothing like what Thai food should taste like.
With so many other local Thai options around, sending out this level of quality food is a huge mistake.
I might try and fry the beef up later and add flavor and spices to the “salad” and curry – only bcuz I dropped over $60 on lunch, but I shouldn’t have to do anything to the food that I’ve ordered. That’s the whole point of ordering food delivery – so you don’t have to cook!
I would like to mention that I think twice before posting a review that might negatively alter a mom-and-pop shop, bcuz I love to support local, but it really was that bad.
The food you sent out today does not represent Thai cuisine at all. Please do better.
Ordered Pad Kae Mao (drunken noodles) with chicken, Thai Am Trio (App with spring rolls, drummets, and krab rangoon), and a side of fried rice.
Pad Kae Mao luke warm (we live 5 minutes from restaurant). Order medium and the dish was sweet…no spice or flavor at all
Fried rice….what we received was not fried rice …luke warm, no egg, no flavor.
App trio okay…. highlight was krab rangoon (3 pieces).
$58… Will not return or recommend to others.
The crab rangoon was alright, at best. Loved the crispyness, just found the filling was not my favorite. Had the pad see ew with chicken & the pad woo sen. Asked for it hot, but was not your thai spicy for those who are sensitive.
I gave this place a good ol 2nd college try, and it was better the 2nd time around. They are open on Sundays, for those who are looking for a good meal on a sunday night.
