Stopped in on a Saturday for an early dinner with my husband and one year old. The restaurant is cozy and tucked into a small strip. There was one other group dining. The server was prompt and very sweet. She was also very patient with me as I wrangled my toddler while trying to order dinner. We ordered dumplings, larb, drunken noodle, and pad ped (all thai hot). Everything was so fresh and smelled wonderful! My toddler ate almost every single dumpling. The larb was spicy and packed with flavor. My husband enjoyed his drunken noodle bur agreed the shining star was the pad ped, it was incredible and the spice was perfect! One of the chefs (possibly the owner?) Came out to ask how our meal was and my daughter just loved her, she even knelt with her and helped her with her rice. This really made it an unforgettable meal. I hope we are able to get back here next time in town. Thank you thai 9!

My wife and I were in Santa Rosa beach area for vacation. Eating at Thai 9 was a great experience! The interior is nice and cozy, the food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the seafood drunken noodles (with extra noodles) and the portion size was HUGE. I enjoyed my meal and came back one more time during our vacation to pick up yellow curry w/ chicken to go. If you are in the area and craving Thai food, I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had a wonderful experience here! I’m here for vacation and wanted to eat something good. We fell for the tourist trap restaurants and were craving something with flavor . After researching all the Thai restaurants around Destin, Thai 9 came up and we decided to go there for dinner. We had papaya salad (lao style), beef soup, drunken noodle, and Pad See Ew (not pictured), and Singha beer! Might’ve been one of the best Thai restaurants we’ve ever been to! Also, I think I spoke with the owner while I was here and she is very nice. The portions were so big that we had leftovers (I’m very happy about that). Thank you for the good food!!

This small Thai restaurant has some great food! I had the drunken noodles and my wife had the pad Thai, and both were delicious and huge portions. The restaurant was busy but our food came out without too much wait. The restaurant was very clean, and the service was excellent. They accommodated our requests for some extra items added to our dishes. Recommended!

I recently dined here and overall had a pleasant experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout.
As for the food, the fried rice was a bit underwhelming. It came rather plain by default, and even after adding bell peppers, it didn’t elevate the flavor much. On the other hand, the Yellow Curry was outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Definitely the highlight of the meal and something I’d come back for.
Would recommend this place, especially for their curries, but the fried rice could use a bit more attention to taste and toppings by default.

Absolutely the best Thai in Destin, Santa Rosa Beach, Niceville, and Freeport areas! Competes with the top Thai places in Ft. Walton Beach and Gulf Breeze. Small little place off 98 that you might miss if you didn’t know it was there. Super friendly service, family run. The food is excellent. Thai hot is hot, beware. Every dish we’ve had there is great. The beef, chicken, and pork are always cooked to perfection. Their dishes with the meats and vegetables are great. The Thai rice is top notch. Big portion sizes so you absolutely get your money’s worth. I would eat here every day if I could.

Thai 9 first timers. We enjoy Thai food. Quaint, hospitality, delicious food. It’s all here. We enjoyed a nice quiet lunch. Several others there as well. Couple of families, young folks at a couple of tables. Prices were not too bad either. Pineapple pad Thai with chicken (Yum! Such flavor. Not as spicy as most other dishes, but such a comfort food.) Pad Thai with tofu. (A hit. All the right taste. It was a favorite). Easy to see why folks alwayscome back to a local place. Generous portions too. Make it hot if you’re willing to spice it up, and get spice on the side if you’d rather walk on the milder side.
Enjoyed it. We’ll be back.

I have lived in Thailand for over 12 years and this is the first Thai restaurant in this area that is truly authentic. The food and service was exceptional. My wife and I were very impressed and sad that we have not tried the restaurant prior as we live nearby. Certainly highly recommend and look forward to our next tasty visit.
