Sticky rice super dry, fish not that fresh, prawn cake was crispy but tough, drinks overly sweet, Crab meat omelette was a disappointment and service can definitely be better. Only saving grace was the kailan roast pork dish and the ambience.

We ordered the omelette pork collar and omelette crab meat rice, but both were pretty average and did not leave much of an impression. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and service was prompt. Portion size was decent, and they are on the Entertainer app, so you can enjoy 1-for-1 promotions on some of their main courses.

LOVE THIS PLACE
We are from Thailand and it is so nice to come and enjoy home country food. Taste is exactly the same, delicious, fresh, and hot. This will be All Time Favourite in the future.

People are honetly so humble. Feels so good to have visited here. Everyone is so polite and offering and even though we didn’t make reservations, they politely let us enjoy the meal.

Dear Cheff & Everyone,
Thank you for the fresh hot delicious meal
We loved your food and will always be back for more every time we visit Singapore.
God bless you

[Entertainer 1-for-1 Noodles, Rice, Sizzling Plates]
Chose this place for a Friday gathering as I saw it on Entertainer and that there was a Singha promo going on ($6 for a bottle!). The Creamy Omelette Crab Meat Garlic Fried Rice ($15.90) was a hit with fragrant garlic rice topped with a gooey omelette filled with chunks of crabmeat. Simply glorious and delicious! We also got the Sizzling Hotplate Pork Collar with Thai Basil ($19.90) which had tender pork collar slices in a yummy basil sauce, and the Kailan with Oyster Sauce ($12.90) which was simple yet delicious. Had an enjoyable meal here and would definitely be back!

Pretty good boat noodles and relatively affordable. Lots of protein inside the bowl as well. Had beef version with thai noodles.

Wouldn’t opt for the spicy option though as there is a herbaceous and overpowering spice that was added which made the soup and dish quite overbearing.

Moo ping and basil roasted pork was good.

Loved everything about this place — the food, the vibe, the service. We had the dry tom yum noodles, basil rice, moo ping (pork skewers). The boat noodles are some of the best I’ve had in Singapore. Moo ping is tender and well marinated. The lemon grass tea is refreshing too.

Great spot whether you’re here for a one-dish meal or sharing a few à la carte plates, depending on your group size. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

First time here and loving it. Awesome food and friendly staffs. Recommend boat noodle, pork collar, crab omelette and papaya salad. Love the ruby dessert and lemongrass drink. The food are spicy. Go for the non-spicy dishes if you are not liking the lingering spicy taste. It is very crowded! Do make a reservation.

Extremely bad food. What i ordered: crab with thai curry. 100% no curry taste at all. Bland. Feels like soggy egg with crab. No spice whatsoever. Could barely finish. Crab feels weird and like not fresh. Some hard bits – could be the shell. Beef tendon side dish is ok. Look at the photo. No curry taste at all and unfresh crab meat. Im open to try other dishes to give another chance. But this is rly bad

Table Notes
I’ve been a regular at Thachang since their Golden Mile days, and I’m thrilled they’ve continued after the mall’s closure. Their beef boat noodles are as fantastic as ever – with the same rich, aromatic broth and tender beef that made it such a hit before. This dish, a Thai street food favourite, features a deep, savoury broth packed with spices, herbs, and just a hint of sweetness, complemented by tender beef slices, meatballs, and fresh herbs for full-on flavour in every bite.

Their new Telok Ayer location has a similar laid-back vibe, making it ideal for a casual lunch or a quick bite after work. Portions are slightly small, so it’s easy to try a few side dishes, much like at a true Thai street market. It’s great to see Thachang still going strong, serving up authentic, comforting flavours that remind me why I’ve been coming back all these years.

First time at Thachang SG and it was a great experience! The food was authentic and flavorful—especially the pork boat noodles. Portions were generous and prices reasonable. However the dish was quite spicy, so go for the non-spicy option if you’re sensitive to heat. Service was quick, and the vibe felt just like Thailand. It gets crowded, so reservations are a good idea. Will definitely be back!
