I also received something special that day. It’s an amazing toy, which I named Josie, and she is super, super special. An ordinary evening turned into the most memorable and one of the brightest experiences of the year. I want to recommend this establishment and ask the management to acknowledge the outstanding work of your team. Thank you for this wonderful atmosphere and to each of these people for their work.
The food is amazing as usual, but it is on the pricier side. If I’m spending around $20 on a dish, I’d personally choose Pai, which is owned by the same group and is literally right around the corner.
I tried the fried items, stir-fried drunken instant noodles, and the pad krapow nachos. All were flavourful and well done. No complaints on taste at all.
The ambience is pretty amazing, and a nice bonus is that they have board games, which makes it a fun place to hang out with friends
My friends and I were on our way to Pai and spotted this restaurant. It’s a subsidiary of Pai of sorts I think?
The food was amazing, the service was great too and the ambiance was super chill! We went during the Happy hour which was nice.
We ordered Pad Krapow nachoes. Was a bit disappointed that it tasted so ordinary. There was nothing special for me to think “wow this is true Pai restaurant level.” This nacho was smothered with spicy mayo, cheese, sour cream that made that you get to forget pad krapow was underneath.
Hope to come back to try other food next time.
Would definitely come back on a casual night beyond trivia as well. Good spot if you’re looking for thai inspired bar food.
We got the pad thai sen lek, boat noodles, pork skewers, and a thai tea slushii. I cannot express how memorable our meal was The seasoning was PERFECT on the pad Thai and the boat noodles. The pad thai sauce light yet pungent, very similar to how kiin did their pad thai before they took it off their menu. The noodles were so chewy and flavorful, I would give the dish a 100/10 if I could!! And i may be biased here, but the noodles had the vermicelli type texture which is my FAVORITE! I put this pad thai over the pad thai at pai. This pad thai sauce was PERFECTLY balanced, not too overwhelmingly salty or sweet, but definitely big tamarind flavor (my preference). In terms of price, i do think it is a bit on the pricier side but honestly, i’ll pay it again many times over for this pad thai.
The boat noodles are so nostalgic for me, and tha phe tavern team made it SO well. The noodles, the broth, and the accoutrements made the dish complete! I give it a 20/10. The boat noodles are my comfort food but next time i will try something else like the rice bowls just to explore.
We came on a friday at 5:45 so it wasn’t too busy, but it was getting busy by the time we left (7pm). I will DEFINITELY be back! I wish i could come back every week honestly
Standout food items (that I’ve tried) are the deep-fried morning glory(one of the bezt things I’ve ever eaten) chicken wings (expensive but holy crap these are amazing) and the boat noodles.
