Lord Percival Thorne (Surveyor of Inns & Tables)
I confess freely that when I crossed the threshold of TGI Friday’s – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, my spirits were low and my expectations lower. An airport eating-house, like a hastily mended boot, is meant to serve a purpose, not to please the eye nor gladden the heart. I prepared myself for sustenance of the most reluctant sort—food that asks forgiveness merely for existing.
What arrived instead was salmon. Proper salmon. I regarded it at first as one might a polite stranger who claims to be a distant cousin: with narrowed eyes and a hand still on one’s purse. Yet upon tasting, my doubts fled like debtors at dawn. The fish was well seared, moist within, and seasoned with such restraint that I wondered whether the cook had once known discipline, or even virtue.
The mashed potatoes, those frequent accomplices to disappointment, committed no offense whatsoever. They were smooth, warm, and mercifully free of that glue-like constitution which suggests they have been beaten into submission rather than mashed. Indeed, they seemed almost cheerful—an alarming trait in a tuber, but not an unwelcome one.
All this took place amid the clatter of rolling trunks, shouted announcements, and the anxious pacing of travelers who dine not for pleasure but for survival. That such a meal could emerge from this chaos struck me as deeply unnatural, like finding a well-made bed upon a battlefield. I half expected a trumpet to sound or a magistrate to demand an explanation.
Service was brisk and civil, the plate arrived without delay, and no one treated me as though I were an inconvenience for wishing to eat decently—a courtesy rarer than fresh herbs in such establishments.
In summation, I conclude with this astonished declaration: I went in armed for disappointment and was disarmed by competence. The salmon and potatoes did not merely sustain me; they startled me, amused me, and very nearly improved my opinion of the world—an outcome I had not budgeted for at an airport.

I frequent this TGI Fridays frequently for their fish and chips which is always amazing! On this last visit I was slightly overcharged and a few items were missing out of my bag. But Tiffany, the manager I believe, went above and beyond to make it right. She was so exceptional during their busy rush. All the while making me feel like I was the most important customer she had in front of her even though, I knew clearly I wasn’t! . She juggled the entire situation seamlessly all while keeping a smile on her face the entire time. She took a not so perfect visit and turned it into a top notch experience.

I only gave a half of star because of Kosi, who was my bartender. On 10/2/25 he gave me amazing and QUICK service. I was just passing through the Atlanta airport waiting for my friend to arrive. I just wanted to work online and possibly have a quick bite to eat and drink. When I tell you the women servers here were so rude and DISMISSIVE, I’m not exaggerating. Wouldn’t even point me to a charger for my laptop and I was WORKING! I would never come here again. I only noted the bartender because at least he made me a good drink and treated me with respect and courtesy. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend. And I’m advising ALLLL over my colleagues who travel to Atlanta regularly.

So, We stopped looking to get some food prior to our flight. First, we had to wait for them to clean 1 table that they had selected us to sit. Note that we had a luggage cart with us. The host said no problem and had me follow him to the table, which was still dirty. No sooner than I sat down, this young waitress with an attitude came to me, telling me I can not have our cart in there. I explained how the host just sat me down and said, “Be no problem.” So much for that, especially with Ms. Attitude! Then another waitress came over and took me clear across the restaurant to the high tables, where I was able to park the cart outside and see it. The next waitress showed up, took our drink orders while we decided what to eat. She took our order and brought us eating utensils, which looked like they were taking off someone’s else’s plate. There was food still stuck to the forks, in-between. I asked for the Mgr. Who came out and asked if there was a problem. I pointed to the fork. Told her we were going somewhere else. She apologized and took care of the drinks. You need to train some of your staff on how to talk to customers, and make sure your dishes and utensils are clean prior to giving them to the customers.

I have dined here few times, food is consistently good with Friday’s brand but service is a hit and miss.
I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, fresh and well prepared.
For dessert the Brownie Obsession, never disappoints me, yummy.

We left the C terminal after nobody at Carrabas even acknowledged us. We immediately were seated by a very hospital hostess. Audriana was an amazing server- attentive with a high level of enthusiasm and recommendations for our drink selection and menu. Better than expected service by all
members of the team.

Not good because they don’t have to be . . . . and that says quite a lot about the overall brand of a restaurant that is shuttering locations all across the US. You continue to stay in business because you have a contract with the airport that keeps you afloat, but the food is less tasty that the regular Fridays locations, and the service can boarder on abysmal. At the time I came by this past weekend, you were really not busy, and that should have been a clue. I can’t recommend this location to others.
