I am from NC and in Wichita falls for work. I wanted my first taste of Texas BBQ to be extra special. I did some research and decided to try this place..
I may have just eaten the best BBQ I’ve ever had in my 41 years on this earth (and I’ve had a lot.) This was the most moist pulled pork and brisket that I’ve ever had by far. The sauce was so great too, not overpowering but just enough to add tang to the pork and still be able to taste the great smokiness. The sides were also excellent and a great addition to the meats.
The owner is a very nice guy that has apparently never met a stranger. He let my son try something he had never had before and gave him a little treat as soon as we walked in the door.
Friendly staff with EXCEPTIONAL bbq. What more could you ask for!

Great BBQ in downtown. Ordered the 2 meat plate with brisket and sausage as they were out of ribs at 5:00 on a Friday. Both meats were well done and very good. Ordered onion rings as a side. The decor is interesting and updated. Order 1st then pay and they bring out the food when ready. Service was friendly

Texas Underground BBQ in downtown Wichita Falls, TX is worth the drive! The barbecue is delicious with just the right amount of heat and fat. The owner is welcoming and greets all guests with a smile and some kind words. The loaded nachos were incredible! My wife had the BBQ bowl and she loved it. Our granddaughter had the mini corn dogs and ate them all. (They reminded me of state fair food…which is always good) The girls all had some banana pudding. My daughter said, “I’d like to just live inside there, it’s so good.” Check out this great Texas owned business the next time your in North Texas, you’ll be happy you did!

Delicious Texas style BBQ. This place could easily be passed by and missed as it’s located in downtown Wichita Falls around a few abandoned/run down businesses. Once inside you’ll be warmly greeted and you’ll get to order at the counter. Family style seating in a small and clean dining area. I tried the two meat plate with the pork burnt ends and brisket. The burnt ends are a bit fatty as they are pork belly pieces but they were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The brisket was perfectly moist and full of flavor as well. The sides weren’t anything out of the ordinary but were pretty tasty as well. I was in town two years ago and was bummed I wasn’t able to make it out to this spot but I’m so glad I had the chance to try it out on this visit.

The food was great! Everything tasted good. We were a little disappointed there are no rolls or accompanying bread, and only 1 BBQ sauce per plate. The employees are friendly, and the service was fast! We’ll be back for the flavor and atmosphere!

Visited my dad from out of town – THIS is bbq. We went on a weekday – only open 11-2pm.
I got the burnt ends, tots, mashed potatoes. The six burnt ends were perfectly cooked and sauced. The tots were super crispy. I am usually a gravy on top of mashed potato person – but this was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of pepper and therefore not needing gravy.
For dessert, I got the banana pudding and mud cake which we amazingly made.
Thank you for making my visit to WF and your establishment a memorable one. Next year, when I return for my dad’s 75th bday, I will be returning!

Definitely worth trying out here in Wichita Falls. It’s inexpensive and it tastes amazing. Probably the best barbecue I’ve had in a long time!!! If you’re not sure what to get around this area you must stop and try this place. You will not regret it. They also have much more options on their menu. I got the brisket sandwich and potato casserole and it was delicious.

Hands down favorite spot now. Been twice, first time pulled pork sandwich with Cajun mac and cheese. Be sure to ask for his spicy BBQ. Second time, fried gator with French fries. Just placed an order to cater our 40 person holiday party.
Update! Just had brisket with Cajun Mac, took my woman and she’s a rib fanatic. Told me that I did good, cause she loved it!

Brisket was the best by far. The wings were dry, small/way too salty with the Cajun dry rub, and the burnt ends were just ok.

The food wasn’t bad but for the price I would say wasn’t worth it. Tasted good but we felt that the portions were very small given the price, taste flavor was standard/typical to what you would expect from a BBQ spot. Employees were great and the place had a nice mom & pop feel to it.
