I just finished a delicious lunch at McAlister’s, and I couldn’t wait to share my experience! This is my third visit, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Gloria—she’s fantastic! So friendly and warm, and she even checked in on our meal and took our order right away. I remember when this place was a Starbucks, and wow, it has really improved. The customer service is top-notch now. Thank you so much, Gloria! I tried the shareable combo with half a sandwich and half a baked potato, super salad, and it was just scrumptious! Can’t wait to come back!

Texas Spice restaurant is in inside the Omni Dallas Hotel. I can recommend this as the best restaurant inside the hotel. Hotel staff is really helpful. Waiters, Waitresses are really nice. The foods are very yummy and big portions. But their menu is somewhat very limited. I guess this is because they want to spcialized on few dishes and may be economies of scale in supply chain. But I recommend you to focus few more vegetarian dishes as well, may be really nice dishes with fried mozarella or may be with mushrooms. Everything else fine and good easily customizable tables with your number of visitors requirements.
One more thing, may be its good if you can set up small heaters (like you have outside with fire and glasses) inside also. Those who like more fire can go towards those tables.
Well done and keep it up…

Conference week go-to — consistently delicious!

While in Dallas for a conference, I ended up eating at Texas Spice three times—and every meal was fantastic. I had the Cobb Salad twice: once with salmon for dinner and once with chicken for lunch. Both versions were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Another evening, I went with the steak and fries—also delicious. The service was friendly and efficient every time, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I’d absolutely go back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Omni for a weekend for our anniversary & decided to come here for dinner. The burger was amazing & so was my pasta. Our server, Lorenzo, was the best server we could’ve asked for. Lorenzo made our night very special, was very attentive, and had a great personality. I never write reviews, but I had to for him. If you come to this restaurant, ask for Lorenzo!

Nice decore with an upscale feel. It’s located on the ground floor in the Omni Hotel. The weekend brunch has a small but adequate selection of food options. The made to oder omelet bar adds a personalize feel to an otherwise average brunch bar.
The fresh fruits were fresh. The scrambled eggs were watery so I did not try. The biscuit, sausage and gravy were delish!
Espresso and latte were not offered as an option but coffee was and it was a decent blend. Alternative milks (almond & oat) were available if you prefer instead of regular milk for your coffee.
The juice was watered down because ice was mixed with the juice inside the dispenser as a way to keep the juice chilled. I hope they will consider another serving method in the near future.
On the dinner menu, we ordered the shrimp crevice on the starter menu and the roasted chicken since we weren’t that hungry. The crevice is not your standard crevice. The coconut leche de poach sauce was unique and delicious. The only downside was that it came with only about 6 medium shrimps. It’s overpriced at $17. Although it worked out since we weren’t that hungry.
The roast chicken was smoky, moist and seasoned well. It was placed on top of a pile of creamy mashed potatoes with a side of vegetables. We were pleasantly surprised with the portion and flavor of this dish.
There’s a 2-sided large outdoor fireplace that is just mesmerizing!

I ordered room service from Texas Spice. I requested the Texas Spice Burger and Fries. The order was delivered super fast and it was hot. The burger was very juicy and flavorful. I polished off the entire meals. I told others to try the restaurant as the dining menu looked delicious.

My family and I ate at Texas Spice tonight, and we had Angel as our server again. He was very personable, attentive, polite, and efficient. Last time, he got us hooked on his recommendation of the roasted chicken, and we loved it so much, we all ordered it again. After we had already checked out, Angel had some down time and came back to our table just to brag on how nice we were and wanted to have a conversation with us. It was a nice, quiet evening with the kind of waiter you want and a meal you have to try.

The short rib was delicious! I chose mashed potatoes and carrots as side. I only knock off stars because I was excited for the Dr Pepper sheet cake. This is not a sheet cake. This is an upscale ding dong with Dr Pepper sauce. It tasted fine but I repeat – this isn’t sheet cake.

Will return for the decor and food.

High ceiling, industrial, large lighting features, booths and tables. Outdoor has couple of fire going on in a 74 degree Friday in May, before 12 noon.

Two large fake flowers are stationed at one door – wondering what are they doing in a farm to table restaurant.

Service is good. As soon as we were seated, servers came immediately with water. Food came rather slow, without any lunch crowd – which is fine for us.

We were initially seated by the wall. When I asked to sit by the window, the young female hostess said “oh they’re reserved.” Identical to the line I was fed three days ago at The Pink Adobe in Santa Fe. But she then volunteered, “lets me check.”After the coffee is served, they moved us to the window – that looks out to the red flying horse – the renovated Pegasus. Of course, by the time we leave an hour later, the window tables are as vacant as when we came, and the restaurant is emptier at 12:40 – with a convention of Fan Expo in full swing that the hotel has direct link to.

I like their 100% cotton blue napkins, simple Corby Hall tableware.

We’ve a light brunch: Artisan salad and grill cheese – both are good. My salad is lightly seasoned with nuts and mint.

Some chairs’ cushion could use ‘renovation’.

Fantastic Meal & Secret Perk for Families!

We had a wonderful experience at Texas Spice! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. I ordered the Texas Strip Steak Frites (cooked perfectly medium rare), and my wife loved the Gulf Shrimp & Crab Gemelli.

The service really stood out. Our server, Susan, was nice and attentive throughout the meal. She even hooked us up with some extra fruit, which we really appreciated! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming.

This place is incredibly family-friendly. They had a nice high chair available, and the kid’s menu was perfect—my daughter enjoyed the chicken and green beans.

Best kept secret: Kids under 5 years old eat free! We will definitely be back.
