I go to Texas Seafood & Steakhouse every time I’m in Dayton! The food is always fresh and well cooked. Shelby waited on my table this time and she did an excellent job. The whole staff is very accommodating and friendly.

We ordered 7 lbs of crawfish to go. We asked that 5 lbs be put in 1 container and the other 2 lbs in another container. When we brought the order home it didn’t look like 7 lbs so we called and they said they put all 7 lbs of crawfish in one container despite our request. It just didn’t look right. We weighed them and it was indeed just 5 lbs. We called and the manager argued and said she would not replace the 2 lbs or give a refund. They’ve lost our business over $18 when we spend a minimum of $105 there a week.

Stopped in while riding motorcycles around Dayton from The Woodlands. We ordered raw oysters, the red and crawfish etouffe, fried catfish with shrimp, and key lime pie. Everything was good and generous portions. Waitstaff was friendly and man bidding tables was chatty as there weren’t many customers on Sunday afternoon.

I wanted to come to this place since we moved here a year ago, but looking at the reviews…I was skeptical…it didn’t start off in a good direction due to they didn’t have oysters…strike one… I will tell you that is the only strike out they received. I ordered the Mexican shrimp cocktail which …was delicious then my boyfriend ordered the fried pickles…again delicious
Main course….I ordered the special which was the ribeye, baked potato and salad for 25.99 DELICIOUS!!!!! streak cooked to perfection and the baked potato cooked all the way and all dressed….again delicious
Boyfriend ordered the catfish and shrimp which came with rice and veggies along with a salad….15.99
He couldn’t say enough…mmm mmm each bite.
I wanted to come on here to say this place to me is a 9 out of 10 from the server….to our food….to the atmosphere

I was disappointed because I was with a party of 6. They don’t give out tickets. We were told to go up to the register and pay. I ordered the special for $14.99. When I checked out, I was told the bill was 21.99. I gave her a tip and waited for the others in my party to pay. I was curious and asked why I was charged 21.99 and was told for parties of 6 or more, gratuity was added on. We did not see that posted anywhere. I understand that most restaurant do that. When we offered her a tip she should have mentioned that information to us. I called and mentioned this to her manager, the server called me back . I suggested providing a ticket so this confusion wouldn’t happen again. I was told they don’t do here. “They may do it in Louisiana but we don’t do it here”. People beware.

Was excited to eat here away from the norm. But was disappointed. Staff was friendly but didnt have enough to support a mostly empty restaurant. Waited a seemingly long time for drinks and then our order. Also tartar sauce should be cold not room temp on the table, someone’s gonna get sick. Little pricey for the service.

the so called “manager” sucked!! Our waitress had to argue with her over charging us for items WE NEVER RECEIVED! & kept trying to make it Brianna’s fault but we heard her (the manager) refuse! We use to love this place but its gone down hill BAD! It’s usually okay but never this terrible. Even after we finished eating we were stuck for another 30 mins while it was explained over & over &over again it finally was fixed. Brianna tho, was amazing attentive & helpful. She remained positive while clearly she was stressed due to the “manager”. She was the only really doing anything. Even the other man eating had issues similar to ours.

This place is one we have driven by for 5 years and WE REGRET WAITING SO LONG because our entire experience here was wonderful! First off our waitress (forgive me if I misspell it) Domanique was a very sweet helpful waitress, she was attentive and anticipated our needs. We ordered 2 appetizers (fried pickles, and boudin balls) and they were delivered to us prior to our meal just as it should be, hot and delicious. Our main course was the 1 fish 6 shrimp and 6 oysters w/ 1 stuffed crab (I substituted onion rings instead of fries) with coleslaw. The tea was not just fresh but had a nice robust flavor like southern tea should be, no weak restaurant tea here, more importantly she made sure to ask if we wanted a lemon with our tea which is a very appreciated question! All our food was fresh and hot and in a timely manner. I cannot say enough how impressed we were with every aspect of our visit and we will definitely be coming back for more!!! Kudos to the staff here you left us wanting more!!!
