We had a great experience here! The food was great, the service was great, and overall it’s a wonderful place to have lunch or dinner. The salad was fresh, the fries were delicious, and the chicken fried steak was very good. The alligator bites were very yummy and perfectly crunchy, and the grilled shrimp were dang good.
Our server, Alexis, was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. We’ll definitely be back!

Ok to understand my review note that I live in Somerville but chose this location because of the menu options. I’m from MS and 2026 will make 8 years I’ve been in TX. This is the ONLY spot I’ve tried that makes the BEST FRIED CATFISH! I recently visited this restaurant and came twice in the same week! Of course I didn’t eat my food on the way home because I was the driver. I get home and try my fries, they had lost a little heat BUT they were still GOOD! The catfish??? Was still CRISPY! But I like my food hot so I reheated it in the oven at 150 degrees for about 15 minutes and it was DELICIOUS!!! I know when food is made with love and this place definitely displays this type of culinary skills!! I appreciate it all! I didn’t get pics of food for obvious reasons but I did make sure my second meal from here made it home safely

I went on a Sunday night with me and my dad. Our server Reina was really sweet and let hs take our time with the menu. I got the stuff shrimp and it was really delicous. If u do get this its almost the same stuffing as they use in the stuffed crab. I really liked how the ladys restroom and a baby changing table. Overall great place to eat with family.

This place has some of the best seafood. It might not look all that pretty on the outside but the food definitely makes up for it. And the staff there are friendly and always have a smile on their face. Give them a try next time u traveling thru Caldwell u won’t regret it I promise.

Quiet, very clean-smelling, ordered salmon and vegetables, jumbo shrimp, fried stuffed mushrooms, fried okra, and crawfish!
Crawfish was cooked with ginger, which we really appreciated! They brought us a moderate and fair amount of crawfish sauces and corn and potato without charging extra— very thoughtful of them.
All fried food was great! The batter was unique, crunchy, and flaky. I loved the jumbo fried shrimp. They were deveined and paired super well with their cocktail sauce! The cocktail sauce was so good— I never tasted it like that before— very appreciated again.
Salmon was cooked to juicy perfection, topped with a lemon crab sauce, and all veggies on the side were tasty and cooked perfectly.
Overall, we could tell a lot of thought and care and passion goes into this restaurant. Don’t judge it from the old building. Just know you’ll expect a clean, fresh place, modern touches, with great food that is satisfying and worth the fair price!
We will definitely be coming back as we take this route back to Houston often.
The only thing that could improve is to tell staff to wipe down seats to make sure no food is left over in the seats before seating new guests.
Our waitress was really sweet, and she did clean it when we pointed it out. Everything else was able to compensate for the seats with leftover food debris in them, but if you really want to impress, don’t forget to clean the seats…every time!

Not many vegetarian options, but I ordered from the sides menu. They have a large menu for meat and seafood lovers. I had a salad and loaded baked potato without the bacon. My spouse had the red snapper with fries and a salad. We had a wonderful server. I will definitely recommend eating here. You will not be disappointed.

Walked in was greeted and seated.. waitress was really sweet. She constantly checked on us. If we had any questions was very helpful with answers. I wished I would of asked about the filet mignon cause I hate bacon around my steak. But it was ok I compromised. The other food had great presentation. The food was enjoyed by the others. Husband said red snapper was delicious. Hamburger was good. Resturant was clean and food was delivered quickly.

So tonight I had to make a trip to Caldwell to see my mom.. we decided to go eat and she said this place .. I have ate their 2 times before over the past few years the 1st time it was ok 2nd time very disappointed in food and staff but still paid and left a good tip .. Tonight was a whole different story when we got there it was us and 2 other tables not very many people the guy came took our order brought our drinks while we waited 2 people came in got seated this was about 15 to 20 mins after we order and someone else came sat at the bar … 1 of the tables that was there before us they tried bring their food to us smh in the meantime never once did the waiter stop by our table until almost a hour after he took our order and everyone in the restaurant had already gotten their food and was getting ready to pay out he stopped and said he was sorry for the long wait but he just put our order in about 10 minutes ago … so I asked him why because we have been here a hour .. his words were he was told by someone above him to take a large to go order 1st before putting ours in so I told them cancel it and we were leaving … then a young girl asked if I was paying for the 2 sodas we got i told her charge him and me and mom left … bottom line I really feel bad that Caldwell tx does not have a decent place to get good food other than Mexican food restaurant and the way thos was handled by this restaurant was completely out of line … I have had bad experiences at some restaurants before but I do have to say this one was the most horrible of them all.. oh and by the way Im pretty sure the young female said we were band from ever going in there again lol Trust me that won’t be a problem You couldn’t pay me to go there and eat
