This experience highlights a serious lack of customer service and basic courtesy. It was a Thursday night, the restaurant was semi-busy, but servers still had time to stand around talking near the host stand, yet I was still refused a table.
There is a reason I avoid places like this. I would strongly encourage others to choose a better steakhouse or at least a better location within the same chain, one that actually values customer service and treats guests with respect. I hope this helps people make a more informed decision about where they choose to dine.
Update: Once we finally got sat it was at dirty table.
We came on a busy Saturday around 5pm, so we expected a wait. The check-in process, however, was a bit confusing. You check in outside, wait for a text, then go inside to check in again—only to wait a second time in a very crowded lobby while servers are moving in and out of the kitchen.
Once seated, we were placed in a tight back corner. The space was so cramped that the server working the booth next to us was essentially brushing against our table each time she addressed her guests.
Our server greeted us and we ordered drinks. About 10 minutes later the drinks arrived and we placed our food order. I ordered a house salad as a side, which took about 20 minutes to come out. Our entrées arrived roughly 45 minutes after that.
Unfortunately, my husband’s steak—ordered medium—came out closer to medium-well/well. Our server wasn’t available, so we flagged down another staff member who appeared to be a floor manager. He agreed the steak was overcooked and took it back.
After about another 30 minutes with me having completed my meal and both the server and manager stopping by, (surprised it still hadn’t come out), the steak was returned. It looked correct when cut into, but as my husband continued eating it became clear it wasn’t cooked evenly.
To their credit, the manager did comp 50% of the steak, which was appreciated and not expected.
Overall, it was just an okay experience. While we anticipated a wait on a busy Saturday night, we didn’t expect to be seated for over two hours. The staff was polite and tried to make things right, but the pacing, seating, and process issues really impacted the evening.
Although I ordered a chef salad, I ended up with a Caesar salad, but I didn’t complain and just ate it to avoid making a fuss. The dessert, an apple pie topped with ice cream, was really good. We also loved the bottomless bread—it was a great touch.
