We had an excellent time at the Texas Roadhouse except for one thing which wasn’t all that bad, just a tad frustrating. It was the initial check in. It was a bit disorganized. They took some reservations without names. Then announcing tables for two or four, etc. So customers were confused, including myself who should go first and so on. Fortunately, it got corrected shortly thereafter.

A bit frustrating, but not a deal breaker. After being seated, our wait person (Lulu, her nickname) came to take our drink order. Lulu was wonderful. She was very efficient, sweet personality, nice and a pretty young lady. Lulu was very attentive, answered our questions and got our order right. She asked if we wanted our salads prior to our entree. We appreciate that a lot; we just hate it when all our food is served at once. For a side salad, these salads (house & Cesar) were a decent size and tasted great (sorry no pic). Then, our entrees came. OMG, they (full rack of ribs and 12oz Ribeye) looked and were wonderful (see attached pic). They were both cooked to perfection, no extra condiments needed and tasted great!

Lulu thank you so much for the extra, awesome, warm dinner rolls, yummy. We also appreciate the free peanuts. Lulu and Texas Roadhouse made our trip to Eagle Pass a memorable experience. THANK YOU!

Terrible experience at Texas Roadhouse due to poor food quality and even worse customer service.

On this visit, our steaks were undercooked, sides were missing, and service was lacking. Jerry provided poor customer service throughout the meal. I could barely get a sip of water because my glass was constantly overfilled with ice and rarely refilled—had to wait for the ice to melt just to drink. When we raised the issues, Jose attempted to resolve them, but offering a coupon for a future visit is unacceptable. I don’t want a coupon—I want the meal I’m paying for to be right this time.
This isn’t the first bad experience either. On a prior visit, my wife ordered a medium-well steak. It arrived medium rare, so she sent it back. When it returned, it was still bloody. The manager brought out a replacement steak, only for it to again be medium rare when she cut into it. While the meal was comped, my wife ultimately left hungry, which completely defeats the purpose of going out to eat.

Consistent kitchen issues and poor service make this location impossible to recommend. We expect better quality and accountability, especially at a restaurant known for steaks.

Jerry has to be the best server there! He’s extremely attentive and has great communication. He definitely deserves a raise and recognition and would be a great leader to train others to be a great server too! It’s always 10/10 when we get him. Thanks Jerry!

Gone several times hoping service isn’t super slow but even though restaurant was pretty empty for dinner, still took pretty long to be seated. Order was taken fairly quickly, but food took way too long to come out. The steaks have not met my expectations so far, compared to other Texas Roadhouse restaurants

The food was great, but the service really missed the mark. Our server, Allison, was not attentive at all. Right from the start, we mentioned that we had called ahead for a family order, and she seemed confused and unsure of what to do. Throughout our visit, we had to repeatedly try to get her attention — we waited about 5–10 minutes just to get plates, and our cups stayed empty for quite a while before she finally came back for refills. Most of the time, she was chatting with coworkers instead of checking on tables. It took way too long to get any assistance, which was disappointing considering how good the food was.

First-timer, here. Seen reviews about this place and they were spot on. The free bread and “butter” they provide are delicious. Service was really great. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Unfortunately, those are the only positives. The atmosphere of this place is nice, but they have on display an offensive painting in the lobby of an indigenous man on horseback being pursued by 2 white men on horseback. They look as if they are hunting him! We ordered the Cactus Blossom (fried onion) and Potato Skins as appetizers. The onion was hard to eat and the batter was undercooked in the center. The potato skins were super salty! I tried a piece of their Ribeye and it was not good. Overcooked and buried in a mountain of overly salted mushrooms. We even found inedible items among the mushrooms which seemed like cardboard. The chili was good, though. Would return only for the free bread and maybe a salad. It’s a cool place to hangout with friends but don’t expect to eat a good steak here.
