What really impressed me was the staff. It was pretty busy, and there was a little mix-up with one of our orders. Even though we had finished our meal, our server was so kind—he had the order packed to-go for us and didn’t even charge us for it. I was so touched by how they handle things. Great food and even better service. Highly recommended!
Service and atmosphere:
Because this is popular chain expect to wait around 1.5 h for a table. The restaurant is big and can accommodate many guests and there is plenty of parking spaces but they fill up fast.
Service was friendly and swift.
Food and drinks:
Good effort on the steak side. Many options to choose from and try. My steak was prepared as requested and I enjoyed seasoning on it. Two sides that came with it were good too.
The restaurant has full bar so you can order your favourite beverage.
Pricing:
$$ – probably cheaper prices then in other comparable chains.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5)
There are several Texas Roadhouse locations across the Houston area, but this one in particular is extremely busy, largely due to its location in a heavily trafficked shopping strip. Parking is very limited, and on evenings—especially weekends—you can expect a 45-minute to 1-hour wait just to be seated.
Once inside, the dining area is crowded and loud, and while the food is consistently good, the service can be hit or miss. It often takes extra effort to flag someone down for drink refills or additional items, and overall timing is slow. Expect your full dining experience—from seating to exit—to take about 1 to 1.5 hours.
They’re very accommodating for children, which is a big plus. The kids’ menu is solid, and they’re enthusiastic about celebrating birthdays with fun flair. The macaroni and cheese is especially tasty. They also tend to do a good job cooking steaks to order, and portion sizes, while satisfying, can feel a bit on the smaller side depending on what you order.
This particular location has a tight layout, so parties of four or more may feel a bit cramped, and the waiting area often overflows—you may want to stay in your car until your table is ready.
A big drawback: the restrooms. On our visit, there was a line to get in, and once inside, the bathrooms were messy, with toilet paper on the floor, an empty soap dispenser, and paper towels left out. Definitely an area that management should keep a closer eye on.
Final thoughts: While we enjoyed the food and the kid-friendly atmosphere, this particular location feels overwhelmed by the volume of business. If you’re craving Texas Roadhouse, we’d recommend trying a location a bit farther from central Houston for a more relaxed experience. We’ll return—but likely to a different branch.
