For a mass-produced, cattle-call restaurant experience, Texas Roadhouse surprisingly straddles an average to above average experience (I’d do 3.5 stars if that rating option was available). We dropped in on a Saturday night, and this place was packed in like sardines. Like, way too many people in one restaurant. However, you don’t come here for a fine-dining experience. You come to eat, and eat you do and you will leave full. The hot rolls are a perfect start, and they just keep ’em coming. The steaks were successfully (surprisingly so) cooked to your specifications and are tasty, but they aren’t going to put Ruth’s Chris out of business. The sides (two included with an entree) and appetizers are average and about what you would expect overall…decent but nothing to bring you back anytime too soon. The good news: you pay less than half for your meal here than those other over-priced steakhouses, which is what best summarizes a Texas Roadhouse visit: value. The place is well staffed, and service is quick and prompt because they want to move you out and clear the table for the next group to sit down. I appreciated the call ahead wait list option. However, the floor was uncomfortably well littered with trash and food chunks. Yuck.

Wonderful experience. Great selection of food and beverages. The vibe itself is a must experience in Texas. The place can get crowded fast so check in online or call ahead to check it out. Oh, and the fresh bread rolls are just heavenly. Do try it out with some cinnamon butter!

My family’s favorite steak house!! Best place for steaks and loaded baked potatoes. Really appreciate the online check in feature and for the ceiling warm heaters they have placed outside their doors for overcrowding. Lively fun atmosphere.
