This is the closest location to us coming from Opelousas, and we’re so happy to have it! Consistently good food and service, and a great value compared to the other steak places around. We’ve had the more expensive cuts, but their sirloin is always a tender and flavorful option, and usually meets our steak needs. So proud to have a great Texas Roadhouse in Lafayette! I ordered the sirloin and shrimp, grilled. Very tasty. Steak was just right. As a bonus I was able to order my vegetable side of carrots and broccoli uncooked, as I don’t care for cooked carrots. I was really pleasantly surprised. I’m a Weight Watchers member and found quite a few selections on the low point end. That dinner order was only 11 points.

Music too loud. Took forever to get our food we were there waiting for an hour and a half, once the food got there they were closing so that made me feel uncomfortable. There was no more bread to give us with our dinner because they were closing. Got food to go 2 out of 3 meals the order was incorrect. The waitress was trying her best, but overall service was unacceptable for how much our bill was. I’m avoiding this place, it’s a mad house in there!

Always a great experience. Went on a Saturday afternoon, so it was busy, obviously. I do wish they would have made note that we had my two year old with us and not seated us in a booth by the bar. Props that they do provide in booth boosters with straps, but I did spend the entire time holding the seat to ensure my wiggly son didn’t slip under the booth.

Our table just watched a waiter drop a steak knife onto a toddler and when he was confronted about handling knives unsafely around children he caught an attitude and got ugly instead of apologizing. The fact that he was so quick to resort to that type of response makes it seem like this is the typical way he handles things. The staff here need to be trained better and held accountable. When the safety of customers and their children are involved, the only thing acceptable is accountability. I mean really, dropping knives on children, smh.
