Normally I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants, but this specific Texas Roadhouse in Harvey did not disappoint at all! My mom and I came in on a busy Sunday afternoon and got in around 10 minutes (we signed up on the waitlist before we drove there). The inside vibe was your standard Texas Roadhouse style, but it still looked clean and nice. Our server Harry was also nice and patient with us. He answered all of our questions with no hesitation.
For appetizers, we got the Fried Pickles ($6.99) and House Salad ($4.99). The House Salad was standard, but I’d definitely the Fried Pickles again tho. For the entree, we got the 14 oz Medium Well Fort Worth Ribeye with a side of Smothered Green Beans and Loaded Mashed Potatoes ($25.49). The ribeye was juicy and tender so no complaints for that. As for the sides, the green beans were so soft which I really liked. The mashed potatoes were really good as well. Of course, I can’t forget about their famous bread rolls! They were so soft, hot, and fresh. They weren’t stingy about the rolls and peanuts either when we asked for extras.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience here and would come back again next time!

Had a bad experience. Bad enough we had a 2 hour wait that was supposed to be only an hour but hey it’s normally busy on weekends so we understood. The first problem was when they called us in only to tell us that it was a mix up and that we can either grab something to drink from the bar while they give us free peanuts or go back outside and continue to wait. We went outside to wait literally 2 hours.
Once we got called back in to be seated and started to order our appetizers, that’s where the second problem came in at. They brought me and my friend cold buffalo chicken wings, we sent them back and they came out warm not hot but warm. The third problem was the steak, I ordered my steak medium well and it came out cold and dry at that point I was just ready to wrap it up and go. The forth problem was the drink, I ordered a glass of Sprite and as you can see in the picture it had hair in it that was not mine at all. Crazy thing is I noticed it after I drunk it already at that point I was upset and mad that I even went. I did not have a good experience and wish they could’ve made it better but no one even offered to make things right. Don’t know if I’ll ever be back.

She made me wait 15 minutes to bag my food and to fix my drink. I feel like it was done intentionally because she smirked and laughed while she did it through the window as if it was supposed to get a reaction out of me. This place is a nut show ! Unprofessional and all over the place. Will be calling corporate, it’s really time for this place to get shut down ! The manager was also unprofessional I reported it to her she didn’t even try to fix it she just wrote corporate number down and she didn’t care

Sat at the bar. Lloyd waited on us. The entire bar except 2 seats sat at same time. He seamlessly moved from customer to customer taking drink orders. Then the same taking food orders. He didn’t seem to miss a beat.

Texas Roadhouse is a staple if you want a good time. That’s why it’s so busy. They can have a wait that will mean you will need to plan ahead of time. The atmosphere is a little loud, definitely a fun affair that you won’t have to worry about keeping things down. Which is good because we have been struggling to take our kids out of late. Check in online so you won’t have to wait as long. We had a wait of an hour and a half. We knocked out some shopping and came right on time then we’re seated in less than 20 min. The rolls were great as always, always order kids meals first maybe even ahead of time so they are already eating and you can breath to order yours. The house made ranch was a little thick, too much sour cream I think and both steaks came out less done than requested. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but I expected more. I will have to see if they do better next time. Our server was great and the manager was very understanding and saved the experience.

I ordered the filet mignon with two sides, double baked potato and a house salad. Good portion sizes. It was filling and still had enough to bring home. Not to mention the bread was amazing of course as they give that out as complimentary along with their famous Texas Roadhouse butter. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of my food this time. I will be returning, next time I go to the West Bank because that’s the only one that is closest to me. It’s a good 30-40minutes from where I live (Metairie) and of course taking into account the traffic to get there.
